SPEAKER_47Stampede for freedom. Freedom now from living stone to Kasam.
SPEAKER_40Good morning and welcome to today's program. Happy holiday to all of you who are in Zambia because today is a is a declared holiday to you know in the minds of government to celebrate the inauguration of President Hakaiende Ichilema. On this program, we've called the inauguration as illegal. I like what Charles Longwe said that this is no more than a coronation because it is so absent of the legality of it. The reason we've declared it an illegal inauguration is for just various reasons. The role of the military in this election, the you know uh altering of results in the presence of the military, the break of the chain of custody of these ballot boxes and ballot papers, that in itself announced any outcome of any result because the result is not credible. And most and more important is that the election petition was stopped. There were three attempts that we know of that of Bran Mundubide, Linda Kasonde, and Charles Longwe. They were stopped by the authorities closing down the courts of law. The constitution says during the period that there's supposed to be an election petition, that first seven days, the courts should remain open. They arrested a chief security officer at the judiciary who attempted to leave the gates open on Saturday and they locked him up, he remains locked up for just doing his duty and doing a constitutional duty. They never allowed the petitions to be filed. Even when Linda Kasonde filed a petition, which was forwarded to the Chief Justice, and the Chief Justice, in being accountable, issued a public statement to you, the people of Zambia, that he had received the petition and he was forwarding it to the constitutional court. That petition has never been considered, it has never been heard, it has never been determined. And we understood we saw an announcement, Secretary to Cabinet, citing a junior administrator who doesn't deal with issues of the court, who doesn't deal with the legal issues, a mayor administrator stating that there was no petition before court, and therefore they were going to go ahead with the inauguration on 1st September, which is today. This inauguration is illegal in all manner of uh definition. The UPND have been celebrating the guests that are coming, it doesn't make it legal. That marriage still is not legal. This is what is happening. Doesn't matter how many guests will enjoy themselves at this event. And then something that has happened, you know, in the last few days, a lot of people have become victims of big being bitten by the army because the army has secured uh the army has secured the National Hero Stadium and its surrounding premises. And we've had a lot of reports of people being bitten. The name of the army under Ziele has been soiled so much. I don't know how long it will take to rehabilitate this name because it's the same army. It's a lit unit that stormed a civilian home where there is a spouse and children, a nephew, and killed a minister, besides storming the electoral uh centers. So it's an illegal uh inauguration. It reminds me of um the 1993 case of um Chief Moshud Kashmir Olawale Abiola in June 1993. This is the first time after military takeovers in Nigeria that they're having the first credible civilian elections. And the elections were held by international community donors, corporating partners, observers, and local people that it was the fairest and freest election. And um Abiola broke record. He was a Muslim, you know, uh with a running mate who's a Muslim, but he swept the Nigerian election. He got support even from areas, you know, the divisions in uh Nigeria, the Muslim and Christian uh and the the tribal division, Abiola was the first one to bridge those gaps and get a landslide. Uh when they were totally the results because was leading in no polling station, the army stormed, confiscated the results, and uh uh Babangida, who was president then, formally announced that election familiar. And um uh Abiola was disturbed at a rally to speak to his supporters. He announced to the country that he had declared that that that he was overwhelmingly voted by the people of uh Nigeria and there was no other reason why he shouldn't be president. Or they Bangida stormed um you know, stormed Abiola, arrested him and threw him for treason charges. Sounds familiar? And this case, I like a journal in the United Kingdom, a diplomatic journal, that has said what Ichleim has done has been done before the 1993 elections in Nigeria, where Abiola won with a landslide. And when they were beginning to total the results, the army stormed the results, and you know, in that case, Babangida annulled that election. But Abiola proceeded at a rally to inform the nation that he had won that election, and they picked him up and threw him in prison for treason. Babangida himself, three months later, was to suffer a palace school. He was overthrown by Sani Abacha, the notorious Sani Abacha, who then found a very fragile country because Abiola had won across the country, and uh uh Sani Abacha was so insecure, and you remember the major crackdown that he did. Zambia has walked the path of Nigeria in 1993. And I like that international journal, the UK diplomatic uh Magazine online magazine that published those thoughts and I agree with you. Ichilema is working us in the case of Babangida and Abiola, where Biola wins the case, he unleashes the army. They are now the results. They disrupt the totaling centers that we're counting and throws the winner of that election into prison. Today I've got uh guests that will help me. It's going to be a long debate because we want you to participate. It's currently a holiday, so you you have some time on yourself. We don't have to panic that you have to be in traffic, we don't have to panic that you have to be at work. It's a holiday, and we request you to share the broadcast as we give you updates of what's happening. I've got a friend that will join me today. Uh, let me see who's in the studio. Oh, the whole team is in the studio. Let me just bring them up to speed so that we they greet you. Um team, good morning. I've got Augustin. Augustin Koka is an international sports writer and journalist. In the last few months, I've transitioned him into a political commentator, and I've wondered what he has been doing with sports. You know, all these people.
SPEAKER_19Good morning, Ambassador. Thank you very much for having me. And uh, good morning, uh, correct Brad. Good to see you here.
SPEAKER_40Indeed, Brad, we missed Brian. Brian, I mean, we missed you, Augustine. Brian was with me yesterday. Brad Matambo is uh our media director for Tonsei Pamoze Alliance, and is on the ground, is in Kalulushi area. A lot of people are annoyed with us that we are disclosing where you are. Uh Brian, uh, we shouldn't have disclosed you are in Kalulushi because probably there's a menace of police officers looking for you. Uh, but welcome to today's broadcast and thank you very much.
SPEAKER_16Thank you so much, Ambassador. No, I'm not worried about people knowing Kalushi is a big place, and for them to find me, they'll have a lot of they have to go through my chiefiness. They can't they can't find me.
SPEAKER_17I'm not in hiding, I'm just at the farm selling, selling maize and so on and so forth.
SPEAKER_16We have to sell the maize because I mean in Lusaka they might pick me up too quickly for talking. So why not have to volunteer to come and sell maize um here on on behalf of the families? Because I hear FI is paying, so we need to dispose of the maize and get to the farming. Otherwise, uh so happy to see it's good to see you, Mr.
SPEAKER_40Augustine, and uh looking for the comments. They are saying brand is familiar. Who is he? Is he the one that was in Zuva in Pali? Can you tell? You are now doing a cross-pollination. You have a political audience, and you have a social audience, and one of the audience don't know the other. So tell us.
SPEAKER_16I think we should do a poll. We should do a poem. I was in Zuva season season seven.
SPEAKER_17I played Charles Sosa, and then it was an exciting time, so yeah. So maybe people might remember me.
SPEAKER_40The women saying it looks familiar, it looks familiar. I said, Oh, oh, there it is.
SPEAKER_16Okay, so let's start with what the tourism space ambassador uh did a lot of work in tourism with ZTA and so on and so forth helped to market tourism.
SPEAKER_17Did some documentaries around that as well, so some people might know me from that social space as well. So, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_40That's a big space. Uh, many people know you before you transition to politics, is that you're doing commercial work, commercial videography around tourism, tourism sites, and tourism area. So uh they've only seen you, although you've been involved in politics from the back room, they only saw you, especially the last two years, in the forefront of politics. Thank you. That's a profile of uh our guest today as we discuss the inauguration of President Hakainde Ichidema.
SPEAKER_45Is there a danger of becoming that which you removed?
SPEAKER_02Yes, there's always that looming danger. When you you get into power and you've been outside, it can actually drive you crazy. It can make you think you're a demigod. And most leaders fall into that trap. One needs to stay grounded, one needs to accept appreciate it's a job. I've come here to do a job and I'll do this job for whatever period of time and get out. Uh and happily for me, as a professional before I walk I worked in as a practicing lawyer. This job didn't make me. I came here to serve and serve I will, and when my time is up, I'll walk away. So that tends to keep you focused, grounded. You don't get carried away. And so you focus on the task at hand and you do it with humility. And I think if you approach it that way, you you have in your hands all the ingredients of success.
SPEAKER_10Is there a disputed election, a controversial inauguration? The military stormed poll centers. They helped manipulate the results authorities, stopped the counting of votes when the opposition was leading. They stormed the home of Brian Munduwile and killed a former minister. When the opposition decided to challenge the election's results, they closed the courts of law. The election petition was never heard. Now, the inauguration ceremony is underway under the clouds of illegalities. We delve into the details, analyzing the inauguration ceremony. Join the debate right here on your prestigious platform of Emmanuel Muamba.
SPEAKER_09Full of verified facts.
SPEAKER_10A disputed election. A controversial inauguration. They helped manipulate the results. Authorities stopped the counting of votes when the opposition was leading. They stormed the home of Brian Munduwheele and killed a former minister. When the opposition decided to challenge the election's results, they closed the courts of law. The election petition was never heard. Now, the inauguration ceremony is underway under the clouds of illegalities. We delve into the details, analyzing the inauguration ceremony. SPEAKER_40Oh sorry. Sorry, sorry, Augustine. Sorry, I caught you at the wrong time. Um give us your thoughts. I'm just preparing the newspaper. The newspapers, I didn't upload them. So as I'm doing that, begin to give us your reflections on um today's uh uh uh inauguration, both of you. Uh let me start with Augustine.
SPEAKER_19Thank you very much, Ambassador. Today we live um in um in our memories as Zambia and in our history, as um that wrong day we should never have had. It is a day that um you know uh someone will be uh stealing and confirming um you know the stealing of the power of the people um into his possession. I mean, Mr. Kainde Chilema um should never have been inaugurated today, but um he's proceeding having abused the army to um install himself uh as uh Republican president and uh discharge um um the powers that come with uh the office. It is a very important office in our country. Uh it is a very respected office. However, um I I think it should never have an imposter holding you know um uh such a responsibility. Why do I say he's an imposter? Um we had elections on the 13th of August. Uh on the 14th of August, uh vote counting was suspended without due cause. Um when vote counting was suspended, um there was serious manipulation at that point. Soldiers from the Zambia Army, particularly commandos, were sent in various polling stations. When these uh officers were sent in various polling stations, uh they tempered with uh the electoral uh tabulation, they interfered with uh the vote, they uh they changed numbers uh from what the people had decided. If you look at um the EU observer mission report, um the EU uh observer mission report was very categorical uh inasmuch as there was a pocket of violence uh in selected polling stations. Um the violence on the night of August 13th, after the people had voted and the counting had started, was not widespread to warrant um you know a blanket uh decision by the Electoral Commission of Zambia, uh Chair Pesan, Madame Wangra Zalomis, to suspend the vote counting at some point. However, we learned later that suspending the vote counting was a gimmick to manipulate the vote. At that point, we all had the Gen 20 forms. When the people had voted, the numbers had started coming in by 6 a.m. on the 14th of uh of August, it was clear who was uh winning that election and who had won. Um the only thing is that the official result needed to be confirmed by the Electoral Commission of Zambia. But at the time of uh um, you know, the morning of um August 14th, we knew that Brian Mundi had taken um a healthy lead and was poised, you know, to win the election. Sensing danger, sensing defeat, uh Mr. Kainde Ichilema uh decided to unleash the army into the polling stations. And at that point, the things began to change. It became a chaotic process. Um the numbers that were coming in could no longer be challenged. Uh observers at the National Turtling Center at Molongoshi were muzzled. We saw the ejection of um uh Tonsei Alliance, you know, um polling agents at the National Turtling Center. We saw um uh Celestine Mukandila being chucked out of uh Molongoshi. We saw later on um Roosevelt being chased from Molongushi, and we only remained with uh one um uh Cason de Muenda in uh you know um trying to question those numbers. And even when only one remained, uh the ECZ never gave a key stakeholder in the election an opportunity to question the numbers that were coming out of some of these polling stations. And as the army was in these polling stations, we saw a coordinated and systematic um deployment of cudders where cuddles would get tear gas from police officers, throw them into the polling station while the counting was going on, they go and disrupt the process, and at some point uh they allow then the security systems to walk into these polling stations and begin to change numbers. Why do we know that these numbers were changed? We know these numbers were changed when we started confirming the actors that were voting. Look at Soloesi Central. We are we we saw that Soloesi Central at parliamentary level, you had about 29,000 voters. That was a total number of voters. At presidential level, we suddenly have uh an exponential number of about 59,000 or so. Or is it 50,000, 52,000 thereabouts? The difference was round about 20,000. Now you question how 29,000 voters could vote for a member of parliament. When those 29,000 voters were given four ballot papers, it means that they were 29,000. But if you're going to have the 29,000 and only vote for a member of parliament, then you will have at least each one of them three sport ballots. So when you calculate the difference between 50 and uh, let's say 30,000 and 50,000, 20,000, then you calculate three ballot papers that were sport, you are talking about 60,000, you know, sport ballot only for Solwesi. But when you look at the number of sport ballot in Solwesi, you realize that, you know, um they are in in hundreds, it's a negligible number. So, where are the 60,000? Where did they come from uh to vote for uh a presidential candidate? We knew that the moment the soldiers were unleashed into polling stations, they started manipulating the numbers. Um, and at that point, this pattern began to emerge in Mongo, it began to emerge in Southern province where the voter turnout was extremely, extremely low. You could tell that by 12 hours there was there were no cues in most of these polling stations. But the numbers that came from Southern Province, which by estimation, when you look at the original Gen 20 forms, not more than 300,000 people voted from Southern Province. Southern Province had an acute voter, you know, um apathy kind of situation. Um they were less than 300. If at all Southern Province recorded 400,000, then they were lucky. But you look at the numbers, we are 600,000 plus from Southern Province having voted. Those numbers are fake. Those numbers did not exist. And uh I think later on we saw, um, Ambassador, that some of the reports did indicate about 1.8 million total votes that Mr. Akainde HLM claims to have um got in this election cannot be properly accounted. So we are aware that Mr. HLM lost the election. As if that was not enough. He then issued directives to the Zambia Army uh elite unit based on false intelligence information provided by the likes of uh Moses Shapoya and um his brother-in-law uh um Geoffrey Ziele. Yeah, they provided false intelligence information that there was a militia uh and uh that this militia was being held and kept by uh Brian, uh Honorable Brian Mundovi. They then dispatched soldiers to a private residence. It has never happened in the history of Zambia that during an election on the day of vote counting, even before the uh official announcement, soldiers would be released. At no point have soldiers ever invaded a top politician, a leading politician, they've never in the history of presidential elections invaded their private residence, including that of uh Mr. Mr. Ichlem. Even when he was being arrested, you know, uh for treason, it was not the soldiers that arrested him, it was the police officers. But with him, he unleashed um he unleashed the elite unit, the commandos, onto the home of Brian Mundovile. And unfortunately, you know, as fate would have it, they fired uh uh uh you know um ammunition into honorable Mutotluka fire. And um today, as we speak, may so rest in peace, he's not with us. This is a head of it. Six days later, they denied that, they tried to cover up, they did whatever they could. Unfortunately, you know, you cannot hide it. They had to own up, and when they owned up, it was rather too late. They had injured the population, and that's how Mr. Ichlema proceeded to win this election. Now, as if again that was not enough, he then went and invaded the courts with the same soldiers, prevented a petition, prevented the right of Honorable Brian Mundovila and any other Zambian citizen who was aggrieved, who felt dissatisfied with the manner in which the election was uh conducted. Mr. Ichema then sent soldiers on the pretext or the guise of uh you know security threat. He closed the courts. He closed the courts because he didn't want us to put it on record, he didn't want the Zamians to put it on record so that whenever they point to the historical fact that the election was stolen, he himself, you know, can easily put them in jail for sedition. He can throw them in jail for cyber or whatever it is. Because if the argument of Tonse was placed on record about how this election was fraudulent and how it was stolen from the people, um, you know, he would not have claimed, even if he was going to win or hook up a victory in the constitutional court, the fact is the details would have been glaring right in the court, and it would have been public information. For now, Mr. Ichinema decided to muzzle that right before the people. Now, this is the man who closed the door for the opposition. We now see an outbreak of petition from his losing members of parliament. What does this tell you? It tells all of us that this was a fraudulent election. He continues to deploy that fraud. Look at how he stole chiawama from the people. Look at how they store material. Even after conceding defeat, they store material. They are tempted to get in dollar central. When you go to Chitua, the results that came from Sakile, Mr. Ichelema could not have got those numbers. But he, you know, they tried to manipulate, they tried to engineer, even to this date. The people of Sakile don't believe those are their numbers that they even gave him. Go to Chingola. There are many areas where he lost. He lost with huge, huge margins that they played around with the numbers. What are they trying to do? Look at Mandev. Mandevo, they failed to manipulate. The number is just so huge. So the difference is huge. When you look at where Christopher Shaka Fuswa is and where you know the leading candidate was, the number is huge. Today we have an unprecedented situation in Mandev where without telling us which law the uh Electoral Commission of Zambia is courting, they decide to hold fresh elections. That in itself is an illegality that should not be allowed. But this is a kind of an election that produced Mr. Hidemo. As a democracy, going by the We've held in the past. We've not been perfect, but we've tried to hold some of the best elections and we've produced some results while others have disputed them, we have gone to court, but we've never been treated with this kind of situation. It's most unfortunate that at this point when we are supposed to be maturing, we are now regressing to what you know uh we should have been. These are the if if there were teething problems like this, we should have had them long before today. But unfortunately, thank you because we agreed. We are where we are, Ambassador. Thank you very much.
SPEAKER_40Thank you, Augustine. Let's go to what a newspaper says that I bring in Brian Matambo. These are the live pictures from the stadium. It looks like it will be a UPND affair. I have seen many members of parliament of the UPND boasting that they brought a bus. And sadly, most of the buses they are using are government vehicles, you know, such as buses belonging either to a hospital or to a school. So it looks like it will be a UPND affair instead of being a Zambian affair. Uh news diggers is leading with the I mean with the news that Bran Mundile is in Mukoveko Max Mam prison uh with 17 others that includes Makebizulu, um you know uh Bishop Trevor Mwamba, George Sanga, renowned lawyer, Patrick uh Mwansam, Valden Finlay, and others. So it's leading with that story that uh Bri uh Bran Munwile is in maximum prison. Uh is there any other story of interest? They're talking about ERB has maintained fuel prices. Of course, they want to please the voters, so they haven't increased the price of fuel. Let's go to the must. The must, I used to criticize this uh when a commercial advert takes over the editorial space. This is what we are seeing. But uh, with the must, there is a story there on the corner. Let a nation heal. That's um one of the stories. Uh it cannot be attributed. Savoy Imboila has issued that statement. Then local manufacturers have lined up uh toast their month because this is manufacturers' month. And Zambia UN peacekeeping position is at risk. This is a Socialist Party uh president Fred Membe looking at the misconduct of the leadership of the Zambia Army during this period where they've been used in unlawful processes. The Times of Zambia is leading with a forward-looking statement that uh HH's next chapter, you know, after his uh swearing in, he begins a second term. They're also quoting Zambia US ties outlook. We have a visiting uh director of African Affairs from the United States, the US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Frank Garcia, who's visiting the country. Uh there is some organization that Public Affairs Research Institute in Africa that says President Akainde, in their survey, he won the election. Similar to the the one called Victory Over TAF Election, the one that's run by the UPND card as Tambridge. The two articles are trying to you know give legitimacy to a stolen election. Uh any other newspaper, let's go to the Daily Nation. The Daily Nation is also quoting the same Pari Africa, uh, an organization. Let's see who is the owner of this because you know the owner will tell you, well, it doesn't say it is probably owned by another UPND card, but we'll verify just quickly. And um the Daily Mail says today is a big day for President Hakainde Ichilema, and they're leading with that story. Uh then they're also talking about Air B's uh fuel prices. Remember the monthly reviews that the price remains the same. Um the cyber story. I'm interested. Who are they quoting in that cyber story? Uh, where is a Daily Mail? Okay, let's see. Who are they quoting? I suspect I suspect it's um oh, we can't even really get to see the way it's written. It's blared. But I suspect it's a story from uh Xavier Chimba. He's been doing some write-ups to justify the win of President Akainda Ich Lema. The other day he wrote a story that we need to investigate the vote in Northern Bloc. We laughed at him because he didn't know that our people just turned up to vote. That was their crime. They just turned up to vote. We urged them to turn up to vote and they turned up. We urged them to protect the vote and they protected the vote. Let me bring in Brian Matambo to give his reflections.
SPEAKER_16Good morning, Ambassador. Good morning, Augustine, once again, and good morning to the people of Zambia. It's um a sad, sad day in the democratic history of our republic, and um very concerning how we have decided to backtrack on our democratic credentials as a country. We really have decided to backtrack uh in and and and it's it's very unfortunate, and I'm very, very sad today because democracy is about processes, it's about institutions, and um when we have seen this disregard for the sanctity of this uh institution um seen for five years, um as citizens, I think we took things too lightly, and now we're beginning to see the birth of a monster very, very difficult to term going forward if we just allow things to continue on this trajectory. This is going to be a coronation, ambassador, of a criminal regime. It's a criminal regime because uh we saw what they did. Uh at Chile Secondary School, I have very credible information that our monitors were beaten and money was stolen from them, handbags and phones were grabbed for from them. Did the ECZ people even care about that? They didn't. We know that in Mandevo they got ballots that you know were showing that they were in favor of uh Honorable Jimmy Capata and President Brian Mundivile, and they threw them in the street. Uh, we also know that uh they went, uh, as we've been speaking about for an assassination at uh Brian Mundivile's residence. They went, that was an assassination uh project. They went there to kill. That's why they did not bother about the security outside. They went straight straight to him and started shooting at Brian and his guests. And unfortunately, Elder Honorable Um Totoka Foyer was fatally uh you know injured and he died. And that that's a criminal regime. This is why it's just this is just a coronation of a criminal regime. And and I've blocked for this uh thing that they are doing, it's an embarrassment. And as a people of Zambia, we must be very firm. This is not our country, this is our children's country, this is our uh grandchildren's country, this is not ours. It we we we are stewards of this nation. We cannot entertain some fella coming with his own rules and and changing the way that this country has been. For more than 30 years, this country has evolved democracy that has been is admired, okay? It's admired by everybody, everybody admires what has happened in democracy, the peaceful transitions. Never, never have we seen Kaonda shoot an or an opponent in his house, Chiluwa, Manawasa, uh Rupia Banda, Michael Sata, or Edgar Longo. They never did that. They had respect for life. We have a president now, there's no respect or regard for life. Have you even heard a trick about the death of Mikoto Kafua? He hasn't. He can't even speak about it. He can't, but we also see this is the problem. As an as we stay silent when it matters, we should not stay silent. I don't know. Maybe we can speak to Paul and get the rights from him or the permission to play a song because I was listening to it earlier, the song that talks about silence. We are walking, he wants you to be silent. That's what's that's what the devil wants. Anybody who operates in the in the shadows of death doesn't want you to speak, but God says, speak, even God Himself created everything that we say by speaking. You need to speak, don't be silenced, don't believe or coward into silence, and this is where we end up when we are silent, we end up allowing a monster like this being formed and being created. Zambians, let's be courageous, let us speak. And um, by speaking, I'm not saying insulting, speaking, I'm not saying lying. By speaking, I'm saying to talk bringing out the issues that concern you when something wrong, you said that is wrong. When you see something going in the wrong direction, you say that's going in the wrong direction. It's very, very important for us to speak as Ambients. Um, we are seeing ambassador, sadly, the coronation of a criminal regime, and this did not start today. Uh, and I said even yesterday that when we saw Mangala Zuloves appointed as ECZ chairperson, we should have spoken. A few people spoke, it was not enough. But then again, we are dealing with a fella here, even if you tell him he won't listen, but we need to be able to speak. That went on, and that was a beginning big big problem. You cannot have a card and to honor that being chairprint of an election uh uh you know uh organization, something like that, it it has worked against the very things that we hold dear in this country, such as peace and democracy. We saw that that continued until what we saw during this space here, appointment of uh relatives as chiefs of security institutions and things like that. And we were quiet. No, okay, what people are putting their friends and we didn't see that how they're trying to create this little uh you know group of of people to just come, and if you see what they did also to to to to um to J the banda the abductions, okay, almost kill them. And we say we saw what they did to the Lungu family, okay, coming on the that the barrier should have been and and and placing an injunction on that barrier, and up to today the government has to let go. What kind of a person does that? Umtuch deftaffant put simply, and we should have called it the way it is. This is a person without regard for human life, without regard for people, and and and and we shouldn't have sat back and just uh forgot about it. These these are things when you are silent, you're building as a monster, and now today he releases the army. I mean election there to go and manipulate the elections. Now it would have been one thing if he released the army and they're just in the streets and they're just providing some sort of security, so nothing happens. Maybe we would have said why the why the army why just put the police, maybe we could have spoken like that. Uh, but maybe that was too much of a problem. But the army started going into the polling station and women. That is an anomaly, it is not normal, and we should never come to a place where we accept that to be normal in this country. The project, the Zambia Army, the Zambia Air Force, the police, they are our people. They are there to protect us, they are not there to advance a political agenda or a political party's agenda and releasing them and put to sending them into polling stations. That is something we must refuse. We've seen these things happening and we are still silent. My cry, Ambassador, today is that can the voice of the Zambian begin to rise? You don't have to come to a podcast like this, like some of us do, to laugh or come to the camera. But you you can write a post on social media, you can comment when you see somebody, you can you can speak to your children to do the right thing. Ambassador, let me close with this. Why I believe this is a criminal element, this is a criminal uh regime. I'll say this. And that kind of chlema is at the top of this criminal enterprise and is a criminal as far as I'm concerned, because he allowed this to happen. Now I can't prove that he's the one who gave the instruction and what maybe I might be unfair to him. It might be wrong for me to allege all that, but he has not spoken to distance himself from the things, and he's sitting there being a benefit of the army going into polling station, of the army going to Mundi's house to infiltrate fear. When they kill one that they sent fear across the country, and that was the agenda because we're in the psychological political, okay. He allowed the army to go to the courts, and he did not go, it's a beneficiary. The courts were closed, and the church is a beneficiary, his appointees who are doing that is a beneficiary. Okay, my question to men across these countries can you surely stand up and tell your son, I have two sons. Can you tell your son and say, You see how kind is doing? I want you to be like that man. Can you surely do that? Think about it if you have your son and show him all these things that I've talked about here, and then tell your son that you see what Akainde is doing. I want you to be like that man, that's your hero. Can you really do that? Ambassador, can you do that? I know you understand.
SPEAKER_40I like something that you say that we should speak, and that uh you know, Pompey has a wonderful song that speaks, the enemy wants you silent. Um, I've always relied on the famous verse, Isaiah 54, verse 17. The one that says, No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper. But many people do not follow up with what it says after that. It says, and every tongue that rises in judgment against thee, you shall condemn. It means when people tell lies about you, they say something wrong, or they judge you harshly. The Lord instructs us that we shall speak and condemn that tongue. What what's happening in our country requires that we raise our tongues and condemn what has happened. There is uh a post on social media that has gone extremely viral. I rarely respond to bloggers, but there's um a lady from UK who's a blogger, who's a UPND blogger, who has uh posted something very dangerously uh defamatory against Valden Findlay. Uh, she claims that the 79 that were um arrested, you must have remembered last week there was that raid, and DC announced that they had arrested 79 people that had put up some form of a digital lab. Now they want to say they were brought by Brian Mundubile and they were being housed at uh some premises called Ivada Properties, and that those pre the property belongs to Ivana estates and that it belongs to Valden Findlay. So I was given permission to refute this story. Like we are saying, when they rise in you know in judgment against you wrongly, you need to speak out. Evana estates doesn't belong to Valden Findla, his wife, or anyone related to him. The 79 that were arrested, I think they were running a digital scam, a regional digital scam. You've received those calls that you've received money for what? And it's a Ugandan on the line or a Nigerian. They were running a similar scheme. It has nothing to do with elections. And they there was a great attempt to link it to elections. They arrested 79 people, 10 of them are Zambians, and one of the relatives for the Zambian has said, look, they were running this so-called um uh scam. So there were 10 Zambians there, and the foreign foreign nationals were 69, and they are not Russians, 11 were Chinese, 8 were Kenyans, 6 were Ghanaians, 5 were Liberians, 2 were Burundians, 1 was Chadian, and the other one was Zimbabwean. So you can see when people tell lies, our people lap it with um uh like like yeah, this is a smoking gun. Mamba, these people you are defending. Look, 79 Russians were arrested. Look, look at a statement by DEC itself, and I bothered to call family members of the Findless, and they've no idea about this. And lucky enough, one of the 10 Zambians uh stated that you know they were employed, that they were doing this digital lab and that they will have it certified in time. But as you can see from the profile of those arrested, there's no single Russian among us. But this blogger from UK tells this big lie, you know, and our people are circulating this, including one of the pastors who sent it to me, probably because of our strong rebuke to you know to the church the other day. A matter we have clarified, and uh gentlemen, I saw the saddest pictures uh on the internet. Where is that picture? It was the saddest picture. I didn't I don't know how we missed it, but I haven't had any better picture. You can see the vehicle of the UN representative leaving. You can see the church standing outside as Brian, Mundu, and Makebizulu are being surrendered to the police. It's very, very sad picture. I hope that if there is any better video, you can send it to me. It's so symbolic to everything that we are talking about. Let me go back to Augustine. I cut your thoughts briefly about anything to do with the newspapers and your analysis. uh uh thank thank you very much ambassador i i just you know picked a very uh important thought from um comrade brian he he was you know giving his analysis and saying he couldn't you know you know place because of course we don't have the exact information about the instructions that came to the invasion of a private home um but um uh we can you know confidently state on this program that um the head of state issued express instructions the Zambia Army would never act in the manner they did without express permission from the head of state who is commander in chief um and as as um uh comrade Bryan has mentioned you know what is very unfortunate here is that there was a life that was uh uh lost in the process now when that life was lost in the process the head of state came before cameras at a 30-minute address he mentioned nothing about you know uh uh honorable Mr Fayo who had saved this country as far as uh you know cabinet he was a cabinet minister uh you know in the in in the government of um the late president Edgar Lungo um he said nothing but in that address uh the head of state continued to front this false narrative of militia um that was one of you know the most if not the lowest point at the time he was even addressing the country um his own government while we insisted on this program that we wanted to know where Honorable Mr Kafya was his own government was still denying but he as head of state knew what had happened on that night he had the full information yet he came to address the nation and talked about militia but has never even condoled with the family of uh honorable to coffee the the the the the way honorable brand as well that this is a criminal enterprise it's a criminal it's it's a criminal enterprise indeed they are guilty of murder they are guilty of shedding blood in order for them to hold this coronation today they are basically trying to you know install a headman as a president of zambia you know this imposition has been the most unfair part you know in trying to suffocate the will of the Zambians and I think uh uh we will always hold president each to this uh uh very very poor record um away from from that i i see you know the the headline where um uh madam sabe saying it is time to heal yes we want the nation to move on we want the nation to unite but there are processes in which you can uh attain unity the even the healing process it just doesn't come from with that um if you have one section that has stolen from you when a thief comes into your house you just don't clap for them and let them go by by saying oh you know they've stolen let them go no no no you chase after them you take action they are certain actions um for as long as these people who are holding uh that traditional ceremony at heroes are not going to accept that they stole this election um it will be very difficult for everyone to heal uh the head of state himself caused honorable Mr Foya's family an apology he took away a breadwinner I mean you don't expect uh the family to heal just like that you don't expect his friends to heal just like that just because we have to move on there has to be steps taken I mean you've killed someone you you branded them a militia in death when you branded them a militia in death you turn around and you come back to them and say no we want to give him um uh an honorable send off in a state funeral without even making amends you know for the labor you've uh you've given him you now want to turn around and say we should give him a state funeral come on I mean what kind of a people are how can people heal in that manner and I liked you know um I'm not sure if you followed Bishop Harrison Sakala's message he he he aptly put it that Zambia was now a Babylon and not no longer Zion you know he gave an analogy from scripture that was definitive of the circumstances that we are enduring at the moment and I also Ambassador like um you know the statement by uh the Socialist Party president who says uh you know Zambia's position as a peacekeeper at UN must be reviewed and I agree with that because you cannot take away your own citizenship you cannot you know be hostile towards your own citizen and claim to go and uh uh maintain peace in another in another country certainly not I do not think we uh we now have that pedigree we've lost that pedigree we need peace within ourselves if you've observed even the people at heroes and uh it's good that you mentioned they look like UPND cuddles they've been drawn from different districts like you've seen there's Chief Nabuli there there are people drawn from Caputa there are people drawn from all over all these are UPN D cudders where are the Zambians that this man is going to lead because if you are president you are not president for your political party you're president for the entire country including those that didn't vote for you but if people didn't vote for you and you're forcing yourself on them this is what we are having at heroes we are having a red uh event a red coronation and that does not represent who we are as um as Zambia so I I'm hoping that those that are now uh you know thinking are in charge and have taken charge will make amends they have a lot to do with healing the nation than those who you know are agree with I mean how can you heal a nation you've lost an election you're going to win then you you throw your opponent in in in prison that case we all know is not going anywhere because the truth is that there is no militia in Zambia if there is a militia in Zambia we would have a semblance of what a militia looks like looks like but all those are private citizens look at Bishop Trevor Momba you know um I was being told a story ambassador by one of the people who was um uh present in the in in in in in in in the house you know that story was told to one of the people they went to visit the family members they say look when these people in fact had the bang at the gate they went to hide the story that we've been told here is that uh there was gunfire there was no gunfire the moment these guys walked in you know those that were outside were told to lay down all of them laid down they started torturing them okay then when they went into the house the people were hiding they had taken care of others in the closets and stuff like that they had to be smoked out using tear gas by the time they were going upstairs you know allegations are that they thought you know honorable honorable makebuzulu and the moment they saw him they just fired without any warning now you are wondering why why did they want honorable makebizulu for for what reason is this some sort of a revenge it brings me to I don't know if you've seen this 10 minute you know um it it's it's a very disgusting uh way of trying to just in fact I wanted us to discuss the two three documentaries that ZMBC is showing I've never seen a public broadcaster polarize the nation in the manner that ZMBC is doing during this time when they're supposed to be healing they've done such hurtful uh you know damning allegations prejudicial uh documentary on um on the so-called military raid even condemning the dead mutotwe kafuya you know the the falsehood in what they are perpetrating then there are those are much videos that were created just after President won where you know that depict where my sorry first lady where she's narrating how they were attacked those are extremely divisive videos and at this stage I wonder why Ichilema doesn't want healing in our country I wonder why he can't be a father and I wonder why they have to show on public broadcaster those repeated images in fact one person who's advising us to report the death of Honor to the ICC is that you should hold accountable for example ZMBC and the individual managers because that's what the ICC requires is that you have to hold officers who are obeying illegal instructions because the inflammatory manner in which those um videos have been done can set our country alight. The tension is so palpable in the country and you are so careless because of course they don't know what communication is and some clever maybe Max Moore or Cresonamasaka thinks they are winning the argument by dropping inflammatory material in a highly polarized a country that has not healed you are not even you are not even remorseful you have stolen an election people are still hurting and and then you are annoying them with those documentaries I've never seen such a responsibility from a national public broadcaster even at the beginning those videos were played by Prime TV because you can allege that it was paid for it was private but on a national broadcaster that is paid for by taxpayers come on this is how genocide is done and ZMBC and whoever is in President's media team are endangering our life the lives of our country you know I found it very ridiculous.
SPEAKER_19You know I was I was I was watching you know when I I think I I was look I was scrolling Facebook and stumbled across that documentary so I said okay let me let me watch what it was um ambassador the first thing that came to mind was so this documentary has been done with the blessing of the head of state what the documentary is saying is that he's he's basically revenging the treason that was charged on him.
SPEAKER_40First of all if you're going to revenge how do you revenge on people that were not responsible you know were not the leaders at that time you are targeting wrong people they may have been in government with President Edgar Lungo and in any case even when you consult ambassador what President um Ichlema at the time in Mongo did was a criminal offense a serious one why because he was endangering the life of the head of a sitting head of state um somebody was even saying let any Zambian do what he did in Mongo go and try to compete with him on the road you see how that Zambian will be treated today it would be worse than he was treated by himself okay now you you go and you know evoke emotions unnecessary emotions first of all that case is already passed it's gone it has been if it was adjudicated it was negotiated it's closed it's a closed chapter there is a fresh case of treason you've got people in in an unfairly locked up in a prison and you wanted to compare it to what you went through then you start even bringing your own children but as you do that you even admit that who the people who arrested you were the police you yourself decided to send not the Zambia army but a special unit of the Zambia army you sent that unit into a into a private residence of your opponent and in that private resident there were 12 year old kids 12 year old kids and they fired without any restraint without any respect to the lives of those youngsters and you're proud of running such a disgusting a documentary to justify what you're doing to your uh to somebody who won an election I do not think that is the way you can heal the country and I don't think that is the way you can promote peace you're basically adding I mean to their to their slogan sort of fresh food you haven't apologized to a life that has been lost look at how the widow was crying and if you watch that um uh uh memorial service of honorable kafua look at how the kids were broken look at how the families have been broken from Lusaka to Lunte in in Casama people are upset then you want to justify you know I'm sorry for uh anyways you want to justify that that chaos that criminality today you want to justify it and say no because they sent 300 police officers now I should also the the the the the same people are comparing you cannot do that but that is what happens you know thieves are heartless thieves do not care about others they walk in your house they can even kill you they walk out you still live a life you know and this is what clearly is what is happening because that that video does not even show any sort of remorse so why did you want to give Honorable Cafoya a a a state funeral if you're going to justify that action you know I I do not think that um you know uh the so-called ruling party is ready for any form of reconciliation any form of unity or any form of peace within which they are going to administer uh this country no very clearly those videos they've been playing the last three four days are extremely divisive then prejudicial to Bran and Makebizulu and then insulting to the late Mutotwe Kafwa and the families watching those uh they have no sense of shame and it's at this fragile state of our country that they should exercise responsibility not fuel division but that's what they are doing.
SPEAKER_16Brian your thoughts you are muted you are muted yes yes it's a nightmare it's a nightmare uh what has happened in in in this country it's really a very bad dream and and I hope God has mercy on us and wake us up from this bad dream and take us back uh you know to our ancient paths as it were so that we can start afresh on the peace peaceful path uh does not uh does not possess the credentials of healing this country he does it does not have them is he's lost um the you know every right to foster peace and and and and it shows from the way he has handled the the the the funeral of uh former head of state edgar chagualungo the way he's handled the issue of Dr Kafua the way he's handling the issue of this election uh it just shows he he has no credentials he has he has no right he has he has lost you know the the the leadership required to be able to take a country from a broken state to to mend it and bring it together his his his use of tribalism to divide this country his use of past experiences to continue breaking the country is is unprecedented and and and and I fear for even for future generations uh uh you know my children are tonga okay my children are tonga and and and I'm afraid that they might grow up in a country where people mistreat them because of their of their mother's tribe i i'm i'm very worried about that and all because of a man who was uh irresponsible in the way he dispensed his his leadership um it's frightening it's frightening when someone has to allow you know communication like that to go out uh it's it's very frightening now ambassador you do know that i have massive experience in communication in documentary filmmaking i can craft things i've written speeches even for presidents people don't know i've written speeches for i've written speeches i've i understand how to communicate to people effectively at a very high level that that it's not strange to me but when i see the things that these people are doing the the rhetoric that you get from people like max moe for example uh was one of my lecturers at Evelyn Horn and and and and and his behavior leaves much to be desired I don't know maybe they don't listen to him when he advises them but I see that some of his communication decides on them and I'm wondering look when you are leading the country you are not these guys have been behaving like they're in opposition for five years but they've been in power it's like they're not sure if they really want 2021. Now this one which they lost and we also and they just stopped it I wonder how they're going to behave you know I remember earlier when you were giving an example of of the Nigerian situation ambassador uh you know and you make difference to um uh Biola and Babangita and the crackdown that came you know when when when when uh uh you know babangita had to go through a coup d'etat is that what is going to happen is this what in the is going to try and do is this what he's already doing okay let's forget about Brian Mundile for a moment let's forget about a second uh and let's just think about um bishop Trevor Mwamba he's in prison for treason he has not been taken to court is the bishop is the bishop for crying I communicate with him this is not a stranger to me I I know how he talks he is how sweet he can be how into detail he wants to be how just helpful he wants to be to the nation he is not militia all he has done as is desired to see this country to level up not to degenerate but to level up and he has done that through laid down democratic processes participate in an election you know campaigning these are things that even if a calendar to do there was nothing illegal about it uh is he is he uh is he is he really a a militia no he's not and and and as soon as we begin to uh the problem the problem is on a kind of side if a and I've said this before Ambassador I said this if Akainde really won that election how about he moves on in a boxing match if you look at your friend and go and celebrate You don't knock out your friend and then you start kicking them. Then you even look for his coach, you beat the coach, then you look for his supporters, you begin to beat the supporters. That's what the contest is done. The moment the referee says you are the winner, get up and walk out. Take your your prize and come on, enjoy your victory. This is what we would have expected from Hakka Indech Lema. But he goes and arrests a bishop, puts him in prison, and says you've committed treason because you didn't support me. That's what he's doing. You did not support me. You did not support me, so you're going to prison. He sent me is military against Bishop Mamba. And in the process, he had a church elder killed in cold blood. This is not an ordinary church elder. This is a former government minister. He has not even sent condolences to this minister. He has not apologized for the mishap if it was a mishap. And in my in my books, I believe that was an assassination. They went to kill. But he has gone on quiet and he wants to make it look like there's a militia. He has a mountain to prove that there was a militia. Yesterday, Ambassador, remember I was substantiating what they did at Mundule's house with what they have they tried to do at my office, uh, at the studio there. Um when they came, and we don't know maybe they've planted something there. They are looking to create evidence reading people's homes, and now people are in hiding. So it's it's very unfortunate. And using the wife to say that this is what happened. What seven years ago? Seven years ago, you are still talking about it. And even the president who was in charge died over a year ago. You're still talking about it. Can you see a psychologist? Can you see a psychologist, sir? You need healing. You are the president. If you're going to bring healing into this country, if you're going to bridge the gaps that have been created, you're going to mend the bridges, you need to heal first, sir. You cannot be talking about what happened to you seven, eight years ago and that it's affecting your actions today. You need healing, sir. And you may want to go all the way to your childhood and check. This is something that I've done, ambassador, several times. I would go in an episode where maybe I'm wondering is this the correct behavior? Let me sit down and check myself. And I look back and I speak to counselors and I speak to people that mattered in my life. And because you can't just keep going in life thinking that this whatever you may have gone through in the past, in your childhood, maybe they called you names, maybe they mistreated you, maybe you didn't grow up with your parents. It's people who it's not by choice. Life can give you a bad hand sometimes. But you can heal and you can be better. And I think this president needs to go through that process where he brings in a reputable psychiatrist or psychologist or whatever to help him heal from the wounds of his past. Because what we are going through, getting a bishop of that caliber as bishop 12 member, throwing him in maximum prison because he's got personal issues. That shouldn't have been the case in front of children. I have a professor and since I'm informed that this uh former minister died and this happened in front of children. This cannot happen, ladies and gentlemen. Moment of silence. If he's acting, he doesn't mean it. That would have been much better for the nation. But what he has shown now is that he doesn't care about life, he doesn't care. He's broken. This is a broken president who needs healing. He can't foster healing in a country where he himself, we are all seeing him broken. Maybe he doesn't, Ambassador. Maybe President Akambi Hema doesn't realize, and maybe Zambian people need to tell him that. Oh no, we've been seeing this.
SPEAKER_40You are broken, and you there's um a famous saying, hurt people, hurt people. Meaning, if you are hurt, never healed, you are likely going to hurt others. Hurt people, hurt people. Um let me just take a commercial break, gentlemen.
SPEAKER_15What we saw in Lukasha, where cash is distributed on the queue and minimum and DMMU is being used as a department of a political party. We're bringing the commission, we're bringing to home affairs and the other departments, but we need time to discuss, to dialogue, but not an instruction.
SPEAKER_40I think family, you see when he was an opposition leader, how he demanded accountability, how he demanded that things were done rightly. An opportunity has denied his opponents since he assumed office. Um let's go to the issue of the inauguration and the guests that have come and our thoughts about the inauguration.
SPEAKER_18The people that were behind that move must face the law. That should be the starting point. If we all start uh ignoring the fact that that was unconstitutional, it will repeat itself. So we need to get down to the bottom who made the decision to close the court, who violated Article 122 of the constitution, which says you can't do that. So people must face the law. So we must we we there must be an investigation to determine what exactly happened. Was that security threat real? How strong was it? Did it warrant the closure? So when people are prosecuted in the future, anyone who wants to make that decision will be scared. Because right now, as it stands, it appears it was a political decision to prevent uh the petition from being filed. That's the way now it appears. So another situation will arise five years from now, again, the court will be closed. So we need to people in public office need to explain what happened. That's the only way we are going to prevent this, or else it will be it will be recurring and people will be going spot free.
SPEAKER_03All right, sir. We were talking to constitutional lawyer Mr. Tressford Charlie there into the issue that led to the closure of the courts.
SPEAKER_11We get into more if they call me if these things I'm discussing here, maybe I'll be a bit in in brief, but you see, I I will tell them my fears. I love my country. Yeah, I love this country. I I've never had another country. This is the only country I have. And even one is going to miss it. Not by me. Not by me. I don't care who you are to touch my Zambia. No. We've never been refugees since nineteen sixty four. We've lived in peace.
SPEAKER_08If they call me They are trying to intimidate you, they're trying to instill fear in you. Like I have said, Zambia is not Tanzania. Zambia is a Christian nation. Zambians, Christians right now are fasting. They are on their knees. And Lord Almighty will show that He reigns supreme. At the mention of the name of Jesus, in case you wanted to know, every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. That's what gives us the strength. They are trying to intimidate you, they're trying to instill fear in you. Like I have said, Zambia is not Tanzania. Zambia is a Christian nation. Zambians, Christians right now, are fasting. They are on their knees. And Lord Almighty will show that He reigns supreme. At the mention of the name of Jesus, in case you wanted to know, every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. That's what gives us the strength.
SPEAKER_40Indeed, that's what gives us the strength. Bran Mundubide and his colleagues are locked up at Mukoveko Maximum Prison. We understand they haven't allowed their families and their lawyers, and this is a third day. It's very critical period because um when you go to prison as a political prisoner, I don't want to eat anything from prison authority because you've you have fear that they're trying to take your life in one way or another. And our appeal to the prison authorities that they should allow family members to see brand, Mundu Bidan, Makebizulu, and others. And they should allow them. Those that take medicine, they should take the medicine. And for the food, they should allow them to bring food from outside. It's a very, very difficult period for our people. In some cases, they have to shift and stay in lodges and hotels, just in um Kawe, trying to see the detained. And that's why I was comparing the matter of Abiola, Chief Abiola in 1993. He wins an election in a landslide, but they are now that election. And when he speaks to it, they lock him up and put him in prison. Uh it's no different. Brian was leading that day, and we saw all the results, all of us overnight. And he speaks to the parallel vote tabulation that was coming in. That he was confident that he had won the election. See what they did. Later in the day, they stormed his home, nearly killed him and killed him to Kafaia. And now he faces treason charges. And now they allege that is a militia, you know, a bogus phantom allegation of a phantom militia. No credible evidence whatsoever, other than the documentary they are flashing on ZNBC. Family, there's an inauguration going on. Uh uh, what are your thoughts? And where do we go from here? And after this, I open the phone lines. Let's start with Brian.
SPEAKER_16Um, Ambassador, like I said before, this is a coronation of a um of a criminal regime. Um and I will maintain that because you cannot you cannot have a situation where the um the the the electoral process is broken, the judicial process is hindered, and then you think that the inauguration will be sanitized by what? By the announcement by Secretary to Cabinet? That sanitizes the inauguration, or by the fact that you've put some kind of you know gun to somebody's head to say you will conduct the inauguration. That is a trade, like my brother Augustine said, it's a traditional ceremony that they're having there, coronating their chief. It's a criminal enterprise because you failed, UPND HH, they failed to allow costs. One, we should have allowed for the elections to be done in a free and fair environment. There should have not been any army on the streets, there should have been no army going into the into the polling stations, there should have been no uh uh Carufiania going around getting ballots and the instruction of community out there. That should never have happened. Now, the fact that those things happened, it's enough to call this election a sham. Now, when that had happened, we should have allowed for the petition to go to court. Because if the electoral process is broken, the judicial process needed to see the light of death. But they did not allow it. Again, they used the army, they blocked the courthouses, they sealed as though they were criminals with as though they were crime scenes. They they they not so not only do they break the electoral process, they also hinder the judicial process. They cannot sanitize the inauguration, and as far as I'm concerned, uh that is the coronation of a criminal regime. And and there's this, I'm even being kind in my words, because if you see before the elections, they had cadres. Ambassador, let me make reference to this. And I've said this before, I've written an article to this effect, and I've said the chairperson for the electoral commission of Zambia, Madame uh Mangala's Lomes, her daughter is facing what should have been a murder uh, okay, which has been watered down to manslaughter. But we know that uh we know why we all saw what happened. That's a murder case, but whatever. So it is now some manslaughter of the matter before the course, and she's on bail and she's gone home. This is a mother. Mongola Zulomis is the mother to this person, to Z farmer. What do you think she will do? If my mother and my child is faced with such a serious criminal case, I would probably be nice to the president to just make sure that there's a chance that my daughter would be free one day, that there's a chance that my daughter is not imprisoned for life. You have a you are a I think the I I hope by before we end this program, mothers will call and and and and and and speak to this issue because if you have a daughter who has a murder case, what are you likely to do? Motherly instinct says no, the mother will risk everything, the mother will risk everything to protect that child. I have seen what my mother does for me. I avoid complaining to my mother because she gets kicked out of the thing. The mother will always get out of the way to protect their own child, their child's life is more important there than their own. What do you think she's going to do? Okay, if I had to bring, if we had to bring one gaslomis here and ask her that motherly question, say, what would you choose, the country or your child? Any mother knows, said look, why even you're asking me that question? I'm a mother. Because if a mother says I don't care about my child, we begin to worry. So I can tell you for a fact the problem started a long time ago. And I said earlier before we saw these things, we did not speak. Now we are here at inauguration. This inauguration, ladies and gentlemen, cannot be sanitized by some statement from secretary to cabinet, by some uh fancy you know event at Hero Stadium by bringing people from all over the country. And I want to encourage the leaders of the UPND, please, those people you are bringing into this into Lusaka, make sure you provide them food and lodging and transports to go back. Okay, you bring some of those people from very far, and several buses we hear, most of the buses are coming from Southern Province, and you bring those people from very far. Please, by all means, be nice enough to make sure that you provide transport, lodging, and food for those people. You have done this before, where people remain stranded, you left people stranded there. That inauguration that you are conducting, that you are conducting, have a human heart. You are already doing something criminal, and the people that you are using to try and sanitize this, it's not gonna work. It's now on record that the Zambian people did not vote for Haka Inde Hilema. Hakainde Hilema conducted a coup d'etat on Zambia's democracy. And um, this path that we have taken, it will take the whole of Africa to help us. Unfortunately, Ambassador, you may have noticed that there are about five, six countries in Africa that are doing this. Win an election, get the major opposition leader lock them up. Win an election, get an opposition. Several countries, Tanzania amongst others. Is this the reason why the AU is quiet? Is this the reason why the AU is quiet? Because the presidents in the AU all want to do this and protect themselves. We need to be asking these difficult questions. You know, we need to protect Africa. We need to ascend beyond where we've been as Africa. We need to get to a level where we do things a bit more responsibly. If my neighbor my neighbor is misbehaving, we need to call them out and bring them to order.
SPEAKER_40Thank you, Augustine.
SPEAKER_19Uh Ambassador, I think I um I feel for uh the Chief Justice. I don't know whether to feel sad for him. Uh I I don't know how he himself defines um his professional standing here. Um perhaps what I would have done if I was in his position was not even to you know uh be part of the ceremony. Here is why he is the head of the judiciary, um, meaning that you know uh in terms of the arms of the government, if the president is the head of the executive, he is the head of the judiciary, then the speaker is the head of the legislature. He issues pretty much an instruction. He gave life to the petition. Inasmuch as he tried to undermine you know uh Linda Casonde's email to him, the chief justice gave life to that petition. He surrendered it to the constitutional court at this point before this inauguration, the constitutional court must have been given a position. From that correspondence of the Chief Justice to the Constitutional Court, there has been no public statement, of course, except for what his subordinates and very, very junior officer published. We expect it. Should have been ruling. It should have been ruling on where you submitting in the mind submitted. In the view of the milling. Was really lying. Oh, it wasn't. They were not going to look at the merit. Oh the merit of the petition. They should have merely ruling. And I think that is the way they call it. We are not lying. But with the little understanding that we have I think they should have said the president at this point. In the pitiful behavior, in the manner that you submitted. If the electronic photo is not working, and the email is submitted by a judicial office, such as the gift justice. Those are questions, those are legal questions that they constitution. If somebody disregards an image, what is the chief that is going to say? You know, the system in the country. They'll be literally disrespected, and now we are proceeding to this community. But anyway, it's unfortunate that you know the Chief Justice failed to stand up for the judiciary. Many in the legal fraternity have held um uh Chief Justice Mungalila to a very high standard. He's one of you know the brilliant you know minds in our judicial system. But his conduct uh thus far has been disappointing. I think as Chief Justice, he should have ensured that the constitutional court, or at least we should have had a sitting from the constitutional court just to determine whether you know that petition in the manner it was uh you know uh submitted was legally binding under the circumstances. Not those announcements where we are informed, some of them the letters were forged, um, which was a systematic way of blocking you know a legitimate claim like uh uh the video you played of uh Khan Sochali, you know, insisting that the right of Zamian is being right in this case. We Zamia have the right to be taken away. But that right has been taken away. Forcefully from all of us. Lindsay is representing all the Zambians, honorable brands, representing all the Zambians including those also honorable child, uh he was also representing Zambians. Look at where we we we we we are left here this event to be a leader because in um in many people. Um it should ultimately be an exciting period. We should be celebrating this. Look, it's a democracy, and we are seeing the passing one of the from one president to the other. Oh, we are seeing a continuation. There would have been nothing wrong in seeing a continuation when somebody has legitimately won an election. But you can tell that uh Mr. Ichineva did not win this election, he has forced it upon the people, and he's nothing short of a criminal. He's literally stolen this, and he has been aided by his people within the Zambia army, not even in the Zambia police, he has been aided by soldiers to take this election, and there's no better way than describing this as a coup d'achat. He has grabbed power by force, and today the same people that he used to grab power will help him confirm it on him. Um, but it doesn't represent who we are as an easy.
SPEAKER_40Thank you, Augustine. We'll be bringing in uh callers. Callers, the line is open. Please let's let's begin to hear from you. There's inauguration day today. Let's begin to hear from you. And if you have any contribution phone, the usual line.
SPEAKER_10Full of verified facts, a disputed election, a controversial inauguration. The military stormed poll centers, they helped manipulate the results. Join the debate right here on your prestigious platform of Emmanuel Mwamba.
SPEAKER_09Full of verified facts.
SPEAKER_07Last year in November 2025, it means uh our presidents now interact in that level. Our trade is also managed under our binational commission. Uh we do trade in various areas. I would also say that Zimbabwe currently is um set to set up some companies here in Zambia. We have our products uh coming all the way from Zimbabwe. We have distributories that have been set up in Zambia to sell our products. Our country uh is also in the process of setting up a warehouse in Kasumba Desay. Kasumba Desay is actually a town uh just before the border to Galaxy. Uh it means we will have products coming into Zambia from Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe products. Those same products can also be sold in the uh Galaxy market. Our trade at the moment stands at 450 million uh United States dollars in Zambia is Zimbabwe's uh largest trading partner uh uh under and uh under four uh under Kwamea. Our president is set to take over Kumesa. And Kumesa is headquartered here in Zambia, is taking over from President Ruto of uh Kenya in Zimbabwe in October um 22 uh in Zimbabwe, and um Zimbabwe is also a member state of Komesa, which is 21 member states, and um we know Zimbabwe is with the lines are open.
SPEAKER_40Let's hear from you. Hello, Cola. Please tell us your name and where you are calling us from and make your contribution. Hello, hello, yes, colour. Please tell us your name and where you're calling us from and make your contribution.
SPEAKER_31Okay, I'll be mixing English and the Bamba Bambo each other. Psychologist would you remember the much until forever. If you bring me the mana could give us some catalyst, could you have psychologists, which is very true. So if I can sum buttoni, he lives in denial. Mamma, this is going to touch you. Yesterday, I was trying to talk to common people. Some numbing woman say, please stand your grounds. If he knew he wasn't going to stand his ground, he shouldn't have passed that letter. So never forgive him for what he has done to the Zambian people. So if we see for the bank, Zambia Mamba, numberful. For the coming five years, we need to be talking.
SPEAKER_40Yes, anonymous. Make your contribution.
SPEAKER_42Yes, Mr. Mamba and the people of Zambia. What I'm going to say is just back one of your genesis Yamaha. We saw how this Yawano you thought you see Abu President back in. They did not give up something. That is how important politics. They don't love people. But you don't have one about it. And that is the fear that president that I did. But what's the one? It is my time to defend the president. The judges, the commanders, everyone. And that's why one at the time is some appointed what somebody is. I need to be a child of yourself. This is still and talking. This time this one is that sacrifice. We can talk. We are not inside vowers, but we can talk. We can but just book pitches, both but black it up, black pictures of black. The voice has been stolen. Thank you very much, Mr. Mom.
SPEAKER_40Now, on that, in fact, people are asking. So, what happens on the honking and the whistling at 17 hours every day? Continue because now we have trans, we've changed it to a free Brian Munduilemakebizulu and others. So we still have to continue that protest.
SPEAKER_21Yeah, good morning, Ambassador Nebu Mutali.
SPEAKER_40Yes, Muttali, make your contribution.
SPEAKER_21Uh, first and foremost, I would love to urge uh Brian, Augustine, and many other leaders that uh this is a time to be united. This is a time to forge a forge ahead as a Portuguese saying that Aruta continua. Indeed, the suffering forge ahead. What is happening today in Hero Stadium? We are witnessing the devil, Akainde Chirema, in a form of uh uh we are witnessing the devil in a form of Akainde Chirema being uh crowned as uh as a president of the country. There are no any other words apart from this because what happened to our elections were characterized with a lot of frauds, a lot of killing, a lot of violence. This should be condemned even to his children and his and great-greatchildren, that people should know that indeed he was an evil person at the end of presidential level. Ambassador at AU. AU is a club. I remember Algeria at one time, the former president of Algeria, yeah, Morocco, he had mentioned that um AU is a talking point. Indeed, it's a talking point because this president HH in the next few months they'll be meeting at AU and whining and dancing and tossing. And this is how bad that organization is. And there's no way it has got no um good reputation, in my opinion. Uh Ambassador, coming to the issues of Zambia Army, the Zambia Army at one point, I personally met one of the generals in other countries who said, when he asked me where I was coming from, and he said, Oh my God, that army is a small army, but we're all disciplined. This is how much it was being respected. But at this hour, this army is a mockery. This army, they are just jokers because in the manner they have reduced themselves to perspective in the civil uh practitions, this is which is uh our right to vote. I also want to cement and support the the statement from uh a member who said the Zambia Army uh the ranks have gone down. Indeed, I don't expect the United Nations to start getting the Zambia Army to go and participate in national in uh in other uh foreign nations in peacekeeping because they are being led by a guy who's who can actually manipulate everything. The army commander today is a joker, he's not serious, we know his history, what he did by abandoning his troops and giving out the rank. So Zambian Army should not be trusted in any any other country. And for going forward, or in my conclusion, I want to edge Zambian that uh we need to we need to we need to be serious. These politicians, what they did was to give us a platform. We called upon them to be united and they're united. We called upon them that they should do ABCD. They did just that. And this time around, these people who were leading us in prison, let's stand behind them. And if it means protesting, let us be. Last before I said that was last but let me also a thought has come up. Let me speak to Chief Justice. Chief Justice, at one time, people are saying I've heard even on this program where they were saying that uh he has a he's a brilliant man. In my view, he's not. What he's doing today, he has been doing them before. There are cases before him that were supposed to be judged otherwise, but we have seen how those cases have turned around. I don't think Chief Justice was not aware. He was full much aware. And even today, if this man is genuine and he loves the country, he could have actually accused himself and saying, I'm not perspecting in these things. But he's part and a parcel of sorry to say this, but this is a mindset of Bantu Botato. They call themselves Bantu Botaro. So he thinks that he's doing himself a favor to a tribe, and yet not that we have a country at heart. I mean, what we we should put the country at heart, not in personal interest. Thank you, Ambassador.
SPEAKER_40Thank you very much. Arocola, please tell us your name and where you're calling us from and make your contribution.
SPEAKER_27Um, Frank Banana.
SPEAKER_40Yes, my Frank Kambampon.
SPEAKER_27If I'm in university, come Zambia or Mamba CV Wamma and the Nida Banaman. Sky Lamoru. So when done petitions of Nika Balama coach, I know it's a chamire. SPEAKER_40Thank you very much. Thank you very much, my brother. Alocola, please tell us your name and where you're calling it from and make a contribution.
SPEAKER_29Good morning, ambassador. Good morning, the panelists.
SPEAKER_40Good morning.
unknownThank you.
SPEAKER_29This is AOB.
SPEAKER_40Make your contribution.
SPEAKER_29Right here in Zambia Kasum Bari support. Thank you. As I say, always Ambassador, the panelists. Uh Zambia at this point is lacking statesmen. This is the reason why Zambia has arrived at this point whereby nothing is working in Zambia. His Excellency, the former president, the seventh Republican president of Zambia knows that he he lost the election. Now, I I don't know what to say because he there's nowhere where people can go and do whatever they want. People have been hijacked. I I saw something on social media to say they would they would even try to track down those who are saying anything they want on social media. They don't want anyone to oppose them. So where will people go? Protests they've refused. So I don't know where they'll go. I don't even know what to do now. As the the the the the chief justice says to say he did his part. He knows that he illegality has been done. So what he's preparing, he's preparing himself in the near future to say I did this, of which he's going to run, he's not going to run away of it. I think I submit. Thank you.
SPEAKER_40Thank you very much. Allo Kola, please tell us your name and where you are calling us from and make your contribution. Okay, so we have to go to the house.
SPEAKER_25We have people like Sande Chandaba UP, people like Frankie Wali. Ava in a comedia. Bamwamba ingressions of our president for the first time in the history of this country. Tatuatic, even during Kawundam 1991. Yangra, where where I where I was it was the whole zone. Oko very elections. I don't want to mention my name. Oko na yari. More than 90 police officers came polling stations in the bangware. But police have been able to go there and they arrested a protectamabod. Ningondo yari nin kondo. And I wonder why people Ibakabuswe kibachana petition a my lecture. Nichabuswe for this in out the money. People like sand chanda in Kachivia, every four flat during voting day. Basande chanda they were distributing money with no money's business. People like police they were just watching today who petitioned. Despite MP, they have decided to petition the election. They lost the election genuinely because Awantu Tabali no UPND. Everyone who was associated with UPND. But today they want to petition. Despite over 40 million to each and every constituency in the northern party of Zambia. Every UPND candidate was given 40 million. But they lost okay. Are we really doing things fairly? Honestly. And then one thing about Mwambech was today, the European Union have not come up with a concrete report. We have the president of the European Union. I don't know if it is European Union. He has also sent a message.
SPEAKER_19Honestly.
SPEAKER_40Thank you. Hello, Kola. Please tell us your name and where you are calling us from and make your contribution.
SPEAKER_38And even God knows that these people, the clothes that they have clothed them, they are just clothes of darkness. And these clothes are very, very temple. But Mwamba would like to share Panofiya Kachiruoto Kuna. One week before, Ivan Twai Mkuvota. And this dream, I had shared it with some of my colleagues. Wherever they are, they could be listening to me and they know I said it. I am an election. For some reason, despite what has happened, it has broken my heart very much to the point that I feel quite now. You are out of time. So around president, Vaisanjita. So nay ako, naya sangabamunduye na makebi. Eforambok randa bamakebi wambok seka. Ah, this one, Mr. President, Ara Tushupa, you know, like that sister and brother Abashupa nabat balonfwana. Ara to shoop, joking the fiddlebamakebi Bade Seka, the way he's a smiler and all those kind of things. So wamundu wide, I started telling them that we are behind you and whatnot and whatnot. And there, ifta. Our wamundu vire, who I don't even have his number, I've never spoken to him, but the man was very, very happy with me. He was seeing me for the first time, but wamakebi knew me. But in reality, I've never even wamakebi, but I've spoken to him. So time time nafu maine, nava shamuja. But I found myself karape again in a place like a forest. Yo forest, kwadium Finland. But meanwhile, me I was watching something where Ba Celestini Mukandira, he was running. You don't like the way you run in a race. Bade butuka fiddle each three present mundakebuku in a kuabu. Then wa ech ech navenabale isoku, vena bale enda fi, tabale butuka. So ba Celestini Rudya ba butuka, ba safika fidia almost at the finish line where bautampulo rumongawa nyanta nishua fika. Ba celestini yefoba yvinine, non nyanta mudiorutampuru. Then ukwisa munafe time time, ech e ule isapia leenda, efi a isaku sapadya apita. So ine nambo kurationaru bana na. How come ba Selestina was kanomba tu alusa shani? Urom nanduok Finland naena first fas isapudini umbok dandolawe, navan sangana medical condition shanashani, ale dandola seeking for my comfort, but I was torn in between what I wu hand of fist. Often I shre muchitakon, so then I tend naisamu natina tulusa. I knelt down Ba Muamba, naisambu kujida. Nat mmuele sa tua rusa shan Baselestin nafkans. Then Vaselestin also was confused what has happened, how come Tabafikire or what? When I woke up from this dream, I woke up crying. But actually, my husband had stopped me at he wenin she. So, after Nabuka, I narrated the dream to him. And I told him to say, This dream has made me very uncomfortable. There is manipulation that is going on um election. So we need to pray. He told me that no, the kung follow paper never know. I see a ma elections are yesuna tuina, but there is a big manipulation going on. Fast forward again. I had the short dream again the following day. Ni shiry dream na disakamana, ia next year sachita kwati, yampa ngoku. Kashi, lesa is doing something. Ukuisa rota, uko ku podi m senda no babale vote ya, aba mbena zambia nabatantama. Uisa mwunama solja, babura abantuwa fwelefia upi andi wawa full ama shades no kuya vika basai and set those shades ablaze. And then after setting those shades ablaze, Ama solja washungulukawa and tubaravantuba kwe tekonechiroparupa nishina ve mfutiso mumoru. Baleba tikentia wantuba vote winongata mwale kebabote winu mfuti tu a ladisha. You know? And that was all those things. If you have a munduwire like being red deads, nishtafila chitika no chitika. So I was like, ah, it dream we naisavuka. Then I started telling myself that he dream nisha was a soldier can she wait naifu. Maybe what I'm thinking is not right. Again, I went and narrated to my people. I felt like, oh, e dream. But only after what has happened opened my eyes to say, church didn't understand the safety land. Idiot dream, H H Tide and Dish, I was just showing me in bits and pieces. So this election cleared me. I saw that manipulation would take place. I'm my elections of Baratubina, but in charge, because I was so so enthusiastic to say I am an election we are taking. So sometimes kuwa watingatu excited kumovidi. If you have a spiritual kuravatu is mona kupa no no fidia. So, in all in all, what I'm trying to say to the Zambian two days ago, najirota na mona ama president wo on se aba Zambia navi ima. Wambina kuri waka wunda, ba mwanawasa, ba chiruba, ba sata, ba rupia banda na ba ICU. I saw these guys moving in the land of Zambia, holding hands together. I don't know what that means, Ba Mwamba, but Avantu won seama Zambians, Awa they are kudi inauguration, especially mundu vide namake, namakebi, don't agree to take part in this case. I'm not cursing the land of Zambia, but what is happening on the land of Zambia, this curse began the day the Zambian people decided to uh to insult and boober Edgar Mungo Mustadiam. If you Zambians don't pay attention to spiritual things, wherever you are, this is the time you can make a decision to wash your hands in anything dating. Because if you ainga file ch tika, as muntu na we kala uresa porta ororechila fidore chmuna kwatchiri wino. It means you are taking part in that case. Remember you've got children, remember you've got your family, and you always ignorance yobi. Kutia renga family and we saysangomutai fu yokuba. Idi M foya wamto to kafuwa idea. Umunto on sewa shwofio chikali paukuru so mufiashi. Me when I lost my father was around 11 years old. And when died, pa five, my own father died on the 3rd of June. So that time in remembering my father, wa is on a visa. Even the day I saw that picture where Munduvians make being. On each other. Oh my God. I broke down like I didn't expect. Naremunatinku Atamaka. But not because we are weak. But because we are marveled at the wickedness that is happening in Zambia. And even some people who work, they have the audacity to even be calling us. Me, if I stand on the path to support the righteous and the right thing, there is no way because my leaders find themselves in this situation. I'll keep quiet because someone who serves the UPNG through OP feels like I should keep quiet because other people are toning down. No. Stand with them. This is when they need us the most. And we should never stop talking because we don't insult. All we do is speak the truth. And please, I'm begging you, don't trust that mangwe. Mufo Baleanda, the very little truth, but it shinka chadichi no. Because the way he expressed his sadness, Paba Nabu Basa Daniel, it's very different. And for me, honest begins from there. Ambassador, God bless you, and may you always be protected and live long. And we will continue following your programs until thank you so much, sir.
SPEAKER_40Thank you very much. Hello, Cola. Please tell us your name and where you're calling us from and make your contribution. Yes, colour.
SPEAKER_06Hello, Ambassador.
SPEAKER_40Yes, cola.
SPEAKER_06Yes, yes.
SPEAKER_40From Cinder, make a contribution.
SPEAKER_06Anonymous. Anonymous.
SPEAKER_40Make your contribution, my brother.
SPEAKER_05Yes. We have allowed this ourselves, Mazambians. We have allowed this messy. Whatever is happening today, it's us Mazambians who has allowed this to happen. Because we have to go. Because the country is finished. We are not going anywhere. I cannot see any light on the at the end of the tunnel. Where are we going truly? Where are we going? And thinks that is the the over Zambians and the country mabo. But you made what you've done to us, say, Mulumbu Kamabazomana Murumbu. Let the court decide court, Muniku, my judges. Where are you? Imam, where are you? Ibama church mother bodies. Nasi Inequenda kuchy. I'll go praying by Numba Banga in Pabenzambo Pemberera. Because mother bodies, they are not with us. And you thank you very much, Mamba Kamba Bambiri.
SPEAKER_40Thank you. Alo Cola, please tell us your name and where you are calling us from and make your contribution.
SPEAKER_32If of Mazambian uh chat in for fianga, Fuema Zambian Twaliquatu munso. Twenty quatu batiwa money of quaternaba tu palakali, because if you feel too n got in the kuri maleman at Madame Kalka. Two adinakuria wants a madam video, common set to a bika, but we find it because the president could be bamboo to manipulate. It's not only a phone upaban. It can have education. Number focus numbers, we are coward and look what's going on.
SPEAKER_40Thank you, Cola. Thank you very much. Hello, Cola. Please tell us your name and where you're calling it from and make your contribution.
SPEAKER_24Good morning, good morning. How are you?
SPEAKER_40Make your contribution.
SPEAKER_24Okay, mwamba inevitation.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_24I think you are the man of your own words. But mwamba, you are a person who believes in what is right. But you bari pitiu mwakosa mari manabo. A bamuri kuriba muntu vive, eh? I think these are the same things we want mutaloon baba money akanda lama, batiaba nabo. Well she and you by katabu somebody does by babatomse. Mamuna. A bala opu abantuna. Thanchu bakalamba.
SPEAKER_40Alokola, please tell us your name. Hello, cola, please tell us your name and where you are calling us from and make your contribution.
SPEAKER_22Um anonymous. Um, I would like to comment on the uh Concourt. Yes, Concourt Bamwamba should be removed. Concourt has uh failed the Zambian people. Concourt, if it's true what Mumbamalila is saying, that he passed on to Concourt, and Concord did not uh react on that um petition, then there's no need of having a Concourt in this country. They've let us down, they are siding with the uh government of the day instead of siding with the Zambian people. For me, I think Concourt should be squashed immediately. Shame upon all of them, those judges. I thank you, Mr. Mamba.
SPEAKER_40Thank you very much, thank you, thank you. Yes, constitutional court uh has failed to deal with the matter and failed to uh uh consider the matter that the chief justice passed. The judiciary is imperial, really. The judiciary lies imperial. Um, cause this is uh you're sure there's an inauguration taking place of President Dakainde Chiba. What are your views? They are international guests, uh, President Managua and uh uh uh William Ruto have confirmed among the heads of state. We understand there will be about five heads of state, but most of the leaders will be represented, and you must understand why the outgoing commercial president is uh is uh is uh William Ruto and will be handing over to Munangagua. So it's very important that they are in the country, both of them for those two reasons. Hello, colour, please tell us your name and where you are calling us from and make your contribution. Thank you.
SPEAKER_00About in Angoba less than ten percent, it's your quish.
SPEAKER_40Thank you very much. Let's get your views, let's get your views. Allo colour, please tell us your name and where you are calling us from and make your contribution.
unknownYes, yes.
SPEAKER_28Um, I would like to beg to differ with many who have actually applauded the um the Chief Justice Mumamalila, that he's conducted himself uh fairly well, especially after receiving the uh the petition. I totally disagree. I still believe that he's not a man of integrity, he's not an honest person, and he's not, you know, um he can't play justice in this country. Because if he was a man of integrity, why would he still be at the hem of you know the judiciary uh under a repressive regime? He should have resigned by now. Integrity entirely is that if you are uh uh being you know coerced to do wrong things, you you you actually resign. By this time, uh uh you know, Justice Mumbamalila should have resigned. Today, who's going to swear in this, you know, uh Thailand? Who's going to swear in a kind of HM, an illegal president? It's still Mumbam Lila. So I want to say that Mumbam Lila should should cannot be considered for you know as a man of integrity. He's not. He should have resigned and he should resign now. He cannot work with his government. We have followed actually his the the league of Mumbamalila. He conducted himself very, very well in the previous government uh governments, you know, under Manawasa, under Chiruba, under Pia Panda, under all these presidents. But for him to remain there and you know, because he can't speak, you know, according to the ethics of the judges, uh that's not correct, not at all. Let him resign if he's a man of integrity. I think that's what I wanted to say today. I'd at a very short contribution. Thank you very much. Bye.
SPEAKER_40Hello, Cora. Please tell us your name and where you're calling us from and make your contribution.
SPEAKER_04I'm calling from Kitobamba.
SPEAKER_40Make your contribution, my brother.
SPEAKER_04Thank you. I wanted to say we leave because the Bible says hope makes not ashamed. So if that the Natural Security, because the truth we have our only does he our sell the members once I open hope. There is a presence of heavy armed forces.
SPEAKER_40Thank you very much. Hello, Cola, please tell us your name and where you're calling us from and make your contribution.
SPEAKER_49Um I choose to remain anonymous, but I'm uh from uh Lusaka.
SPEAKER_40Anonymous make your contribution.
SPEAKER_49Okay. Um so for me, I'd like to just uh talk about uh what uh Dr. Nevis uh Mumba uh the comments that uh he made rather concerning uh about the church, just saying that um if um if you do not support the UPND, then um you will be uh locked up, or rather that church is going to be uh closed because uh Zambia is a Christian nation, if I'm uh if I'm correct. So Zambia is a Christian nation. And uh one thing that is uh really surprising me is that uh Zambians are not really opening their eyes, you know, seeing what uh you know the the party that you know uh some people are claiming to support is doing. Okay, because uh I've never seen uh um Mr. Bran Muntuble or Makembi Zulu um uh involved in any scandals or them being uh arrested or put in cells for anything, right? Then uh why should all of a sudden because of elections they find um uh things uh that are you know dangerous to the country in the house, you know, as uh they are claiming uh to see. So I feel you know we should stand up uh you know as uh as Zambia just to uh you know fight uh for this uh nation. Thank you.
SPEAKER_40Hello Cola, please tell us your name and where you're calling us from and make your contribution.
SPEAKER_41But I'm a constant. I'm telling you.
SPEAKER_40Thank you very much, thank you very much. There's um there's a path letter that has come uh from um the Anglican Church in South Africa. Uh let me see if I can read this letter. It's a very, very strong letter from um uh bishop um Bishop of Cape Town, the Anglican Bishop of Cape Town. Uh this statement has been issued by Tabo Makova, who's the Archbishop of the Anglican Church in South Africa. And this is what the letter says. So statement by Anglican Archbishop Tabo Makova on detention of Bishop Trevor Mwamba in Zambia. The Anglican church in Southern Africa is calling for prayers for Zambia, Zambia and her people in the wake of the country's disputed election, and particularly for healing, reconciliation, and unity. We are deeply disturbed at the detention of a number of opposition figures that includes Bishop Trevor Mwamba. Bishop Trevor Mwamba is a retired Anglican bishop of Botswana and a Zambian national who now leads the United National Independence Party unique. We add our voices to that of the United Nations human rights chief Volka Tech, who has called on Zambian authority to end these arbitrary arrests and also to respect the due process of the law. Other groups, including the European Union, the African Union, Sartic and Commonwealth, have all voiced their concerns about these arbitrary arrests. Bishop Mwamba is widely respected by theologian across the worldwide African Communion. Among those who've expressed concern at his arrest is his own wife, Masekoa Masire Mwamba. She's a former diplomat, you know, Botswana's um uh ambassador to Germany. And many people don't know that she's a former Deputy Secretary General of the Commonwealth from 2008 to 2014. That's a wife to Bishop Trevor Mamba. She has also raised the alarm about his arrest. She raised the alarm after Bishop Mamba disappeared for many days without explanation. But it was later revealed that he was being detained at the Lusaka police station. We pray for all those figures, opposition figures held in various police stations in Lusaka. We strongly appeal to the Zambian authorities to allow them access to decent sanitation reading material and other human necessities. We pray that dialogue among all parties and that of democratically expressed wishes of the people of Zambia will be respected in a united nation, issued by the Office of the Anglican Archbishop of Keptown, who is uh Archbishop Tabo Makoba. I may even be right that I think he's the president of the Anglican uh Church in in Southern Africa. I will confirm that.
SPEAKER_41Hello? Why?
SPEAKER_40Thank you very much. Thank you very much. I'll be taking the last three, four calls, uh, then we close um the program. Thank you very much. Let me take the last three, four calls, we close the program, and I'll bring in my team to close. If my team is still in, they did their part. I usually let my team go. Uh, but if let me check if they are oh, they are still here, Brad. They are both here. Okay, thank you very much. They're still in the studio. So let me take the last two, three calls and we call it a day. Hello, caller. Please tell us your name and where you're calling us from and make your contribution.
SPEAKER_14Ambassador Mabomben, John Maru.
SPEAKER_40MQ Marble and Danipo.
SPEAKER_14MQI. Ambassador, not a first ignorant. So, yeah, yeah, for example, if anything to do with our minds, uh Some certain deals that have to be made between among investors and the government that subjected to parliamentary approval.
SPEAKER_40Yes.
SPEAKER_14So am I appointment, is it just vested in the uh presidency uh the monopoly to uh choose and appoint uh a one to say a part of an army commander or security wings maybe uh inspector general of police or intelligence and national intelligence security means you saw responsibility, yeah, presidency only it's not subjected to parliamental approval or anything like this. Yeah, the people are supposed to safeguard the nation's interests, uh guarding the a person's ambitions and interests to a political party. And if these are compromised to protect the army, the the police, the national intelligence, was our uh I think this is where we are having these issues, even the judiciary, from the judiciary all the way to security. Because our allegiance and lawyers was to the nation, that means the people's will, we wouldn't have been here. Uh so as a folks understand about the appointments of these leaders in these sensitive positions that determine the future of our nation, uh a sole responsibility of the response of the presidents according to our constitution or chavach subjected maybe to elementary approval, like if you are with the the economy, like if you're my mind's shell. Thank you, Ambassador.
SPEAKER_40Thank you very much. Okay.
SPEAKER_20Yeah. You've done a very good uh job, a more specialist, we have and a man of action, a man of integrity, number two. Um if you uh brand yawe, Meditia, NFT. I want to meditation and activities that were supposed to be uh disqualified. So, but if you so that we don't concentrate if we come. Uh president, who knows what it is, who are not securematic. If we have one boy, that wakavuriculuma, that you are cannot beava free, bafuma, and it's at the prepared fung, that you are cool. Now find a ranger with prepare power. If you let you five, if you're a start to language, and I'm gonna see a fit in social. And this is our testimony, but brand munguri by no change, sabaka, it's about some book everybody. If you are shala, no kwa, no kumono. Uh it's four kuspika, which has to a tamfi Amaka Paman Sabina. To tamfi a maca muchava chu. Banji, if a zambi for twice. Why not?
SPEAKER_40Thank you very much. Hello, caller, please tell us your name and where you're calling us from and make your contribution.
unknownHello.
SPEAKER_40Yes, caller, please tell us your name and where you're calling us from and make your contribution.
SPEAKER_39Uh yes, Abamwamba, I'm a concerned citizen. I'll decide to. Hello?
SPEAKER_40We can hear you make your contribution.
SPEAKER_39Yes, I'll decide to be anonymous. Uh, first and foremost, I would like to affirm the fact that Zambia is a Christian nation. And uh, yes, with what's going on the way we've been disturbed as Zambians, we should know that God has not neglected us. All we need to do is to stand and war as one and reaffirm the affirmation that Zambia is a Christian nation. And also we should not forget that a man shall surely reap what they sow. According to Genesis 8 22, we may see what's happening now, but surely, as long as the earth remains, seed time and harvest time will remain. So let's just keep praying for our leaders every day. We should not tire. Amen. Thank you so much.
SPEAKER_40Thank you very much. We are on our um, we want to wind up the program. I'm taking the last calls. Um, yes, caller, please tell us your name and where you are calling us from. Make your contribution.
SPEAKER_26Good morning, ambassador. Uh, this is James Fumundola.
SPEAKER_40Yes, James, make your contribution.
SPEAKER_26It's a laughing stock of what is going on uh at the this so-called inauguration, which everyone is calling uh coronation. You see, um, when I look at these guys, they've they've lied throughout. In the opposition, they lied, even when they are in government, they have they are lying. Everything that we are witnessing in this country is just lies, and that's why the Bible says when the righteous rule, people rejoice. When the wicked rule, people suffer. This is what we are experiencing. When I look at these guys, they've got nothing to offer this nation except defending their lives, one life from the other. So even this issue of the militia issue is the it's a lie of the 21st century. And only a fool can be fooled by these lies, these guys are properting. But the unfortunate is that even the Western world have been lied to uh about these things. These people have got the intelligence system that is so superior that uh when you tell when even talking to them, they'll be able to pick that this one is is what he's saying is a lie. But they seem to be have been lying to and they are agreeing to the lies of this government. Uh, but of course, uh the reason why they are ignoring to use their technology and their integrity as developed countries is for the fact that they are all looking for minerals. We have seen the rush for minerals. America has got this one where they want to do this roboto thing to be getting minerals from here, and the Chinese have got their Tazara, whatever Tazama, it's like a rush hour for all these people. So even as we are complaining to them, they know what has gone in the country, but because the their interest supersedes us, we are not important according to them, and therefore they cannot even look into their plight. I remember last time you were saying uh we just have to do things on our own, UN will not come, uh America will not come. I now understand what you meant. Even when you look at the gruesome of killing of a former minister, it should have called for these international uh people to call for uh an in uh an independent uh you know investigation, but nobody's even talking about it. You see, even the people that condemn the uh criminality, they are now congratulating those people who are who are trying to do these things. So, for us as Zambians, I think we need to come up with uh some other strategies in order to come out of this confusion that we have entered.
SPEAKER_40Thank you, my brother, my brother. Thank you so much. Let me take some other calls quickly.
SPEAKER_33I would like to thank you for your relentlessness. But beyond that, I I would like to speak on now.
SPEAKER_35There is a protocol that is very wrong. That protocol is that unless the country is literally going up in flames, no one comes unless people are killed. And I'm saying that intentionally because the international community are a mockery. We are not in an age where we are unable to understand laws, rules, and regulations. We understand very well that we have been violated. We understand very well that the country has been leveraged from the very beginning when UPND came into power. They made deals, and the Zambian people and the heads of Zambian children, men and women. Why has the UN relented? Why has the international community, why has America completely abandoned Zambia in spite of the fact that there is so much evidence, people being hacked to death even yesterday, the day before yesterday, people being unalived because they sided with Mundubil. Because they have been able to see that Zambia is being ravaged. There is a situation in Zambia where Zambians must have visas to enter Chinese shops. We have been calling for a second independence. It is not a narrative, it is a reality. The whole world is dividing Zambia amongst itself. This is not the end. This is not the end, it can never be the end. And I want to speak to the Chief Justice, I want to speak to HH, and I want to speak to Maria Zelomas' mother. Mrs. Zalomas, you are a fraud. Wicked and unreasonable men. Abba Fidia, they're not even worth people's blood. I'm so sorry. I'm so emotional. This is not how it will end. And I want to stand with every person in Zambia that can see the injustice of this all. And we stand and declare, Bamwamba, we condemn this. We speak to the earth, we speak to the sun and the moon and the constellations to bear witness today what is happening. We say no. We have not given our power. We have not given our authority to the chief justice. May God judge you. May the wrath of God visit your home. May the wrath of God visit the Ichilema home. We will not be taken as sheep to the floor. But the God that watches over Zambia, the God who never sleeps or slumbers upon, we call upon you, O God, and we invoke the vengeance of God. It is the righteous thing for God to visit the Hitchilema home. It is the righteous thing for God to visit Zaloma's home. It is a righteous thing for God to visit them with a vengeance and eternal destruction. Thus says the Lord, Psalms 109. In Jesus' name. Amen.
SPEAKER_40Thank you, Cola. Thank you very much. Let me take another call. Hello, Cola. Please tell us your name and where you're calling us from and make your contribution. Please tell us your name and where you're calling us from and make your contribution. And Dita.
SPEAKER_36Hello, good morning.
SPEAKER_40Good morning.
SPEAKER_36Hello, Mr. Mwamba Ambassador. You can hear me?
SPEAKER_40Very clearly.
SPEAKER_36Okay.
SPEAKER_40Don't listen to the other device. Yeah, don't listen to the other device. Just listen to me. Make your contribution.
SPEAKER_36Anonymous, anonymous from within Lustaka.
SPEAKER_40We can hear you, mama. Just continue. We can hear you. Switch off the other device.
SPEAKER_36Okay, thank you. I can hear you now. So never never na ti. Okay, M quite, I can hear you. Once a tea wa one side, there's a tewa donce. There's a tewa you png. Mile saw won't say. So move a tipa. Take an imitima.
SPEAKER_40Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Let me take the other two, three calls, and then we can end. Uh we can revert to our panel and uh hear the other callers. Are there any other callers quickly, quickly? This caller says uh there was no one who stole the election. Uh of course, she's entitled to our opinion. We've been very clear who stole the elections. Um caller, please tell us your name and where you're calling us from and make your contribution.
SPEAKER_30Good morning, good morning. I'd rather remain anonymous.
SPEAKER_40Anonymous, make a contribution.
SPEAKER_30Um, it's funny that somebody can call in, like the last caller, and say these elections were free and fair when lives have been lost and we know exactly what's going on. And number two, I was looking at the program for the inauguration. At 0915, the arrival of um um, you know, they say uh leaders in um what do they say? These people are working with um UPND.
SPEAKER_40UPND Alliance lead.
SPEAKER_30Yes, UPND Alliance leaders. If you look at those UPND alliance leaders, three-quarters of them have got children who have been given jobs. They're an alliance for their own stomachs and not for the Zambians. We receive requests for 100 Gwatcha, 50 Gwatcha, Abakita Baku E Tempia, Abakita Maleria, Abantubachung, so for people to still say is a total disgrace because this is not right. Look at the people who've been locked up and been smashed with a treason uh accusation. Innocent people. People who just don't like the same alliance that he has. His alliance is not credible. What can you say about Mao Sampa? Mal Sampa was eating with the same people that he has called militia. Where does militia come from? Is it really fair? We really thank you, Mr. Muamba, for continuing to, you know, sort of like sensitize people on what their rights are. Zambians are too silent. We are too silent. And this will not finish. This is just the beginning of the end. I don't think HH will finish the five-year term. And I pray that he does not, because Zambians need justice. Because everybody right now is in prison. It's not only those people who are in prison, but everybody else is in prison right now with the current situation. Thank you so much for listening.
SPEAKER_40Thank you, Kola. Hello, Cola. Please tell us your name and where you're calling us from and make your contribution.
SPEAKER_37Good morning, Ambassador.
SPEAKER_40Good morning.

SPEAKER_40Thank you very much. I think wameba dewa chemukha in quipe we pe put in a chekawa se muka. Hello, cola. Please tell us your name and where you're calling us from and make your contribution.
SPEAKER_39Hello, Bamwamba. Good morning.
SPEAKER_40Good morning.
SPEAKER_39Uh yes, and I want to just appreciate the panel, the powerful panel you have uh Brian and Augustine, and also to thank God for the work you are doing for the Zambians. You are the voice to the voiceless. Right now, the space in Zambia is so suffocated. We are not free to speak. But with this platform, God is using you to make sure that Zambia London. And one of the columns that they don't have access to their lawyers or relatives to give them food. Some of them are taking medicines. What is the change mother body doing to ensure that those people have access to those things which they need to have access to, like food and medicines. I know they are not comfortable to eat food that will be offered where they are. What is the change mother body doing about it? And then, secondly, just to uh those what you are doing, just accept what we know, even to the lady who called we can we can forgive her right now. Or we can pray that God should open her eyes. There's no way she can say these elections were not stolen. We all know, even children on the streets, they all know what's happening, what's going on. So we should just pray for her to open our eyes. And then think I want to make mention that Zambia moonsomba mood. But an interaction with relatives from different parts of Zambia, they are saying it's so sorrowful. And you can tell and know that over 90% of the Zambian people did not vote for this government. So now what we can do as children of God, let's raise orders and raise our voices to God is going to hear us. But my main question is what is the church motherboard doing about it? The fact that they're in prison and they can't have access to the to the things they are they are supposed to have access to. Please, Wamwamba, speak to that. Thank you.
SPEAKER_40Thank you very much. And um, alokola, please tell us your name and where you're calling us from and uh make a contribution. Yes, anonymous.
SPEAKER_12Um so disgusted with our mychuma could move the supporter.
SPEAKER_01I'm sure they wanna should be in the age of machine. I think she voted for the first time. So she thinks this is the pattern we used to vote during the time of Vachiruma. Although me has started voting during the time we have I was young by then, but I never saw Vachirubati throwing soldiers masquerades. So I think Ababa Nakashi is not a man, it's her first time to vote. So to her, it's very normal. Now, if we're normal, that's why we are speaking. We don't want this president to continue. So ngabale mm for please to abada that twalibujenzi u gota platform. She shouldn't start tearing our emotions again. We've been mourning, we've been mourning, but like the other caller said, like yesterday even share from the time this happened, more especially for the killing of an innocent man. That man I used to follow him when he's on radio, very sober. And why should somebody decide to take a life in such a way? And somebody comes on now on our uh on our platform to start saying all such rubbish. Sorry to say this. I'm hurt. It's like Babika switch patron down.
SPEAKER_40Thank you very much. Oh, the calls are so many. Please tell us your name and where you're calling us from and make your contribution. Anonymous, make your contribution.
SPEAKER_50I can say 75% of Zambian people, to Alawata. Just a few hours from now, Nabapu Shia with illegal inauguration. That's illegal because all those presidents who attend that inauguration. But it's their wish to go understand their will to understand that inauguration. But it's not fitting well for those presidents who and diplomats who attend that who will attend today that inauguration ceremony. It's a very bad situation, I'm telling you, Mammuamba. Let's just prehimba this old paper, today people before you take a man in shallabi. So the people we are calling the biggest right now, the people we are calling the biggest opposition. For me, this one I'm saying it's it's a political game which they are there are this government or the UPN they are playing. Um I'm telling you, Bamwamba, they are doing it with revenge. But if you have a titire, because those people are not laughing. Kabadi push and push out. But in a ticket, I mean never is a bachelor's why not arresting my driver, arresting me. But you don't do zinc in a driver, and what you drive by instruction, driver conka kunu my instruction, oh pito. So mwamba the sa aturu says the body of the making is only boat because above, she sharp means, we shall lie, so shall we and so we can't fight with our our hands, we can't fight physically, we can fight spiritually. So let's pray by whenever you have, let's pray, let's tell people to pray. Our families to pray, talk to that is Zambia. I wish you challenges who just in nature can we are not in the safe place. If it's I was to leave Zambia, I can leave Zambia. And Ukulapardi, you could have paid a challenge, but for this term that I can't manage to go somewhere else, let me pray hard so that if we can be safe. Thank you.
SPEAKER_40Thank you very much to all calling. I apologize. We have come to the end of the course. Let me allow my panel to wind up the program, and there are so many causes I understand you want to speak. We may do an evening program. God bless you. Let's just get the team to begin to wind up.
SPEAKER_10Disputed election, a controversial inauguration. The military stormed poll centers. They helped manipulate the results. Authorities stopped the counting of votes when the opposition was leading. They stormed the home of Brian Mundawele and killed a former minister. When the opposition decided to challenge the election's results, they closed the courts of law. The election petition was never heard. Now, the inauguration ceremony is underway under the clouds of illegalities. We delve into the details, analyzing the inauguration ceremony. Join the debate right here. On your prestigious platform of Emmanuel Mwamba.
SPEAKER_09Full of verified facts.
SPEAKER_40Thank you very much, dear listeners, and thank you for joining us. Today we're discussing the illegal ceremony that's going on at Heroes Stadium. That ceremony is totally legal. You had soldiers in polling centers altering results. You had a chain of custody of documents broken. You had courts of laws closed, and to prevent the petition by people that wanted to challenge the highly inflated, fraudulent election altered by the military. What's happening at uh uh Euro Stadium? It doesn't matter the gathering, it doesn't matter the international guests, it's an illegal process, and that's an illegal uh inauguration. Where to President Haga Indech over with such a big cloud of illegitimacy on his head. Augustine, let's start with you. You make your closing remarks or any response that you might find attractive from any of our callers, and um we proceed that way.
SPEAKER_19Ambassador, um, thank you very much. Uh, I mean, quite some revealing cause. Um, very, very uh emotive in some uh instance. I think there was a very powerful prayer uh by uh uh the lady uh she must have remained anonymous um immediately after a prayer. Like you said, we saw some uh uh demonic manifestation in another one who came on the call. Now when we stand or when we come to this program or when we run, we don't say no one voted for President. No one voted for Mr. Him. Uh we will not be truthful. What we are saying is the number of votes Mr. Him received were not sufficient to give him the presidency, and that is why he used the soldiers to throw on the street and steal the people's voice. Um the Bible that the lady was quoting that um leadership comes from God, is she she's trying to abuse the scripture, and the Bible is very categorical about not using the name of the Lord in vain. If your child is a thief, they walk into another home and still bring you food, that does not mean that your child is any living and God is the one who's blessing that child. No, no, no, God does not give leadership through faith, he gives leadership through honest means. Um this is why a lot of people are scared. A lot of people are skeptical, and it is true that the majority of Zambians are not happy with the manner in which the election was conducted, how President, how Mr. Islam has forced himself, he is having his traditional ceremony, and you know, you now want to rule by decree or by force, and proceed in that manner. Not many people are happy, people are not excited about this. What happened in this election is something we haven't seen, and to suggest that this was a God-given leadership, I think, is a fallacy, and we must continue, continue demanding that you know, whenever a leader is chosen, the people be happy. Um the same scripture that she's trying to refer to says a wicked rule, you know, there is no peace, and it's it's important that you know people must not conflict the word of God and try to you know um uh you know share it in bits and pieces to suit their understanding because um we can tell. Imagine from the many calls you receive, there is only one caller. Um it tells you a lot. Not many people are happy with this uh um you know uh process, and uh some of them you know are saying today I'll just switch off social media. I don't even want to pay attention to what is happening because they're they're not happy, they don't even want to watch ordinarily. People would be excited, people will be looking forward to see their president being inaugurated. But this is not a typical Zambian inauguration, this is a coronation of a traditional leader who's going to lead the people who are in staff. This is why, when you look at the queues, predominantly look at Eurostadium, predominantly those are not organic crowds, it's not an organic crowd of people that have walked from different places to come and witness an inauguration. Those are people who've been passed from different places and um you know, specifically UPND cadets, just so that they can demonstrate their support. Heroes is a 60,000 capacity stadium. Um, and of course, you know, there were over 300,000 voters, uh at the most 400 that could have voted for president Ichilema in Southern Province. You can pick from that number a 60,000 and bring them into Heroes, it will show as if you know this is a popular president. That is not the case. And this, we must be categorical about it, we must talk about it. In addition to manipulating the vote, he killed an opponent, in addition to killing the opponent, he's thrown those that were leading into cells on unfair, cramped up charges, uh, just so he could have his way through, and then you know, whatever happens thereafter, it will be within um uh the means that he so chooses, which is very, very unfortunate and against the will of the Zamian people. Uh, I hope we are going to continue. Ambassador, remember that you had been saying, we had been saying people need to speak up. This is not the time for silence. This is a time for us to speak. If we had spoken, if we had acted about Mongala's alone, maybe even go to court about our appointment, you know, create a lot of action around these decisions, we probably would not be where we are. Look at the appointment of the fiangi. When you look at um some of these actions in hindsight, we should probably have been taking action, going to court and hiring the court so that they can assist us, you know, make certain decisions. Remember that Laz went to court on the Auditor General. And what happened a few years later? The constitutional court ruled that that man was illegally in office, even when the likes of Dabo Kawana had spent the entire time defending the fact that he should be in office. The constitutional court ruled that that man was not supposed to be in office, and we must not shy away from this fact. It is one of the fears that um you know Mr. H. Lema had when he realized that if the petition goes through, this constitutional court can turn around him, even if he's the one who appointed it. But I think going forward, we need to talk more, we need to speak for the likes of um uh honorable Brian Mundumini, we need to speak for Bishop Trevor, we need to speak for Honorable Makebi Zulu, we need to speak for Vowdy and Finlay, we need to speak for Patrick Mwanza. All those people are there because Mr. HM has a specific grudge, he has a grudge against Mackey, he has a grudge against Muanza and the family. He he he's he was shocked that you know a man who had gathered a political party two or three days before um nomination can defeat him. He was shocked that you know an organization that was barely two to three months old had gone out there and managed to convince the people that they can provide an alternative. All those things, you know, did not go down well. And this is why he wants to, you know, intimidate Zambians. Let's not be intimidated. Yes, you have uh, you know, I'm sorry to say, rock elements like roller uh sorry, Laura Mickey, who you know be accusing us of calling for these protests when we are not in Zambia. I find it very, very disappointing. I because Laura should know. Of all the people that liberations are not only fought in country. South Africans did not win independence by fighting for it while being in Johannesburg and Cape Town. While Mandela was at Robin Island and different places, there are other South Africans like Tabombeki, the Jacob Zuma, you know, um uh uh Oliver Tambo, so many of them were outside the country. Some of them were hosted by Zambia, they fought for South Africa outside Zambia. Why? Because they were stronger outside Zambia than they would have been in South Africa. And today, a person who has created a profile and gets donor funding on the pretext that she's a human rights defender, cannot, cannot, you know, be the one who tries to punch holes in people who are asking for people to exercise their right. It is Zambia, it is the right of every Zambia to protest. It is the right, it is my right to call for the people in Zambia to protest. It is Ambassador Mamba or it is Brian Matambo's. It is our right to demand the right thing to be done according to the constitution. And we have to continue irrespective of these wrong elements that wanted to punch horse. I mean, no one, no one can dispute the fact that this was a stolen election. I'll be shocked, you know. Of course, yes, there are people who voted for the president. It's not possible that there's no one who voted. There are some who voted, but it didn't amass as many votes as he should to be uh legitimately inaugurated today. What is happening today is illegal, it's a sham, you know, it's a fuckhead. And um we uh you know should not have such a scenario. 36 uh or so years after multipartism was reintroduced, it's an embarrassment, really. And um it will live in our history as such. There are also people, Ambassador, who discussed about uh Mumbamalila. We are not saying that what he did, how he processed um the petition or the request to petition was the right thing to do. Uh all we are saying is we can't take away what he has done and his record. But he has lost it in the last few years when he has succumbed to the whims of the executive. And we don't accept, we don't agree with him, not at all. Uh, if the judiciary is going to be independent, he has to act independent himself. Thank you very much.
SPEAKER_40My dear brother Brian, make your final contribution.
SPEAKER_16Uh, thank you, Ambassador. Um it's uh one of those days where you and I and I'm like that sometimes I might spend the entire day literally just thinking and uh and praying and saying, God, how did we get here and how do we go uh ahead from here? Because I believe that um nothing that's happening today uh has taken God by surprise. God is not surprised by what is happening in Zambia. God is not surprised by what is happening to uh Brian Munduwile and uh Makebi Zulu. God is not surprised uh by what is happening to Bishop Trevor and to all those our friends who are behind bars, and some of them have been behind bars for a very long time. Uh, people like Joe Malange and Bowman Lusambo and uh Rafael Nakachinda and Xavier Chungu and many, many others that are in different prisons around the country who've been arrested because they do not agree with uh with Hakainde Ichlema's way of doing things. But God is not surprised at all. And and and this is going to be a very difficult day for me because I know I know that it's a day to just reflect and pray and and seek God's grace and mercy um over this country. Uh, Ambassador, we we have a lot of questions that need to be answered as a country, but I'm afraid we don't have leadership in this country. We don't have the right kind of leaders, they will not be able to answer those questions. They will not, they don't care. Uh put simply, they do not care, they will not respond to the many questions. The interest of the UPND government and Akainde H Lema is not to unite Zambia. The interest of Akainde H Lema and the UPND is not to see that the widows and the orphans that that this country has uh contributed to bringing about. They had husbands, they had now she's a widow, and uh, those are orphans. UPND and the and and and and the chlema doesn't care about them, but God cares about them. Um HH and his government doesn't care about the widow of our former president Edgar Chagualungu, and he doesn't care about what he did to her, the emotional uh crushing that he put her through for over a year, but God cares about her. So I'm just happy in in a way that uh Hakainde H Leman and the UPND and all the Akronies, they are not the final authority. I'm just happy that the AU, the presidents around Africa, they are not the final authority. I'm just happy that the UN and the European Union, they are not the final authority. And I'm very confident that what the word that God has spoken over the land of Zambia, that it will be a light to Africa and the world, that word, it will it will outlive everything else. And and and all this little disturbance that is going on here, it is temporal. And and I'm daring to speak these things on the principle that God does the things that He hears, He hears us, He hears us say. And um, you know, it's it's very, very important. And yesterday, and I keep propagating this message around the story of Pharaoh, Moses was sent to go and free the children of Israel from the grip of Pharaoh's rule. But God also hardened the heart of Pharaoh. Uh, it wasn't the devil that hardened the heart of Pharaoh, but God hardened the heart of Pharaoh because he wanted the destruction of that regime to be finalistic. He wanted it to be permanent, he wanted to destroy that regime completely. And uh Hakainde Ichlema looks a lot like Pharaoh and and and his the hardening of his heart looks a lot more like Pharaoh. From the time that he would stop Edgar Lungu from jogging, that he would pick up um Mama Esther Lungu and lock her up at Ibex Police, from the time that he would do all those things through to the time that Lungu died and he takes the widow to court, through the time that he sent his people to desecrate the body of Edgar Lungu, through the time that he sent police to uh Mundubile's house and shot uh Eldam Tokekafoya, through the time that he put the police at the courts of law to block the petition, uh it really sounds like a modern day pharaoh, and these and his heart seems to be hardening uh further and further, and his destruction is going to be equally very, very hard. And and the people of Zambia must put their hope not in the government, not in Brad Mundwile, not in Makebizulu, but in God, because God's answer will be so clear, and and his actions, you know, God is not a charitable organization, he's not here to be nice to people. God is God. There's a scripture in Joshua chapter 5, and uh, if you read there, and I was just looking at it actually, and and and Joshua, the Bible says, when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and uh and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, Are you for us or for our enemies? Neither, he replied, but as commander of the army of the Lord, I have now come. Then Joshua fell face down to the ground in reverence and asked him, What message does the Lord have for his servant? Now, you need to be very clear. There's a woman who called, I think she was manifesting. Um, and she says, No, uh, you know, less our quefe eka. God doesn't take sides, and it's very clear in this verse, he says, I'm not for you and I'm not for enemies. Me, I'm for the I'm the commander of the Lord's army. So God is not here to take sides. He's not on Mundi's sides, but he's not on HHE's side. At the end of the day, God has got his own agenda, and if you cross him, he will take you out. And and I tell people, you need to read the book of Joshua, the book of leadership, and see what Joshua did. It's not that this is not a book for the faint-hearted, because people were unalived and hung on poles. And if you are, if you are not comfortable reading such Bible verses, you you will find it very difficult to understand how God operates. Because sometimes you might think that uh some of these things, oh, you you have to be nice. God called David a man after God's own heart. But David is you look at his sins. God is not, God is not interested in the way that we interpret things here, being nice and so on and so forth. When we cross his path and you do what is he considers wrong, he will take you out in the most unconventional way. Okay? And there's a verse in the Bible that says, He who oppresses the widow, he will I will kill him by the sword. That's not a very nice statement if you want to be a nice person, human rights and things like that. God says, if you cross, the thing that God cares so much about are those widows and those orphans, and says, if you mistreat any of them, he makes a very firm promise. He says, I will kill you with a sword. Okay? And so these are things you don't start throwing God's name about. You know, there are things that this government has done, and as we are interpreting those things against scripture, we can see that this man is crossing the line. He has crossed so many lines, you know, killing, uh shedding innocent blood. Read what the Bible says about shedding innocent blood. He has done it. He has done it. Look what he did to Tasila in in Chiawama, grabbing that seat. How many lines do you want him to cross for you to be to begin to understand that this man has crossed the line? Not that this is against who or God is for him or for who. No, no, no, no. Akainda is crossing the lines on his own. It's not just offending the opposition. Us who are in the opposition are just observing and saying, oh my goodness, this guy is crossing God's lines like that. And we are saying what will happen to him, we are happy that we are not with him. Uh, we are relieved that we are not in consort with him. We are not we are not in agreement with him because his behavior, what will happen to him, the people of Zambia will be able to see. The last statement I want to make, Ambassador, is again to the church. And I and I do not wish to be misunderstood. Say I'm attacking the city fathers or whatever they call them. But what I'm saying is if those church mother bodies handed over Bran Mundivile and Makebi Zulu to the police, have they taken time to see if Bran Mundwile, Makebizulu, and people like Trevor Mwamba and others are warm where they are there, you handed them over. Have you considered to check? Have you considered to check if they ate, if they took their medication, if they've got access to their family so that they can have access to that medication and the basic human uh care that that is needed for them? Have you bothered? Because if you continue on this path as the church mother bodies, whether you are just making political statements and defending yourself in the media, I think you've lost your sort. Because you handed over these people to the police. Can you show the decent thing to can you do the decent thing? And and go, go to Mukobeko. You handed them over, go there and check if they have taken their medicine, if they have had water, if if if if they were if they are warm, do the decent thing. And and and if if you consider that disrespect to the church fathers and so on and so forth, then so be it, because you do not deserve respect. The Bible is very clear. If you take care of these ones, you have taken care of me. That's the Bible, not your colour and your name and your reputation. No, we don't care about that. We care about what the word of God says. And the word of God is very, very clear about these things. So if you handed over these people to the police, have you taken the step to see that they are warm, to see that they have had food, to see that they have had medication. Have you taken uh time to do that? Because if you haven't, please just resign from the church. Ambassador, thank you very much.
